NIMBUS CONSTRUCTION

The price was fair. The interaction was very good. The owner, David Herkert, actually lives in the neighborhood, and I know him socially. He seems to be a reasonable guy. They do good work. They are very available. His workmen were respectful and kept a clean worksite. My only critique would be that he isn't into detailed invoices.

They were excellent and their follow-up was excellent. There were some problems that weren?t their fault and Jim was very good about handling the situation and making it right. He went out of his way to have his crew come in and get things done as well as he said it would be done. We picked them because they were the least expensive.

Response time: Just as an example, shortly after over 90% of the work was completed, I called Jim and informed him that the storm door latch was malfunctioning; he promised me someone would look at it before the end of the day. Fifteen minutes later, there was a carpenter at the door, who sorted the whole thing out to my complete satisfaction over a half-hour period. Availability: I first talked with Nimbus in May; in the last 3 months, only once has my phone call gone to voice-mail. Ownership: Again, as an example, some splashes of paint apparently got on a couple of screens while the windows were being painted. These screens never even made it to my house; Nimbus just ordered new ones and ate the cost. Attention to detail: We were impressed with how Dave Arne and his crew removed every single attachment and fixture on the walls of the house to paint under. Accuracy of quote: In the end, the entire job was done in within $200 of the original quote.
