It was a very bad experience. Not only was the workmanship poor, but when I attempted to talk to him about corners not coming together, trim not level, door jambs not right, etc. he became disagreeable and argumentative. He selected doors that were NOT of consistent architectural design as the rest of the house. He selected hardware for the doors completely in contrast to what I had requested. He had done a previous project for me involving rough carpentry, but I don't think he has the skills to do the finish carpentry required for this job. I have had three other carpenters in my house and ALL have pointed out the same problems with the way he was installing doors, jambs, trim around the doors and windows. He started to do some molding in one of the rooms upstairs. I had talked to him about wanting the molding upstairs to match the molding on the first floor, but his attempt to reproduce this molding was not even close.
Description of Work: This includes selection and installation of doors, including jambs (etc) and trim around doors and windows. There were to be other jobs performed, but work was stopped per our mutual agreement.

It was horrible. The windows were NOT installed correctly, according to company service technician who came to inspect the work after it was completed. Rather than attempting to work out a solution with the customer, he sued for additional costs. Windows are leaking and need to be removed and reinstalled. I have NO intent of hiring this person again.
Description of Work: Installation of new Marvin Double Hung Windows. Windows to be installed in the upstairs of 90-year-old house. Similar windows were installed 1 1/2 years ago by different contractor.

The project went very well. Timothy kept his commitments. He showed up at 8:00 AM every day. He worked hard and thoughtfully and provided his opinions when he thought slight modifications to the remodeling plan were warranted. Timothy worked well with the other contractors (painters, plumbers, electricians) that I hired for the project.
Description of Work: Timothy installed new siding throughout the entire house, replaced every single window in the house, installed new trim throughout the house, and replaced both exterior doors.

The project GREATLY improved the existing approach to the house. Porch and steps were designed with house architecture in mind and customer's need. Project was completed in a VERY timely manner and in the time-frame it was promised. A written estimate was provided and carried out as described, including the cost.
Description of Work: Front steps, porch front of door. Removed old (rotten) steps and porch) built new porch and steps. Treated lumber. Cleaned up (Owner disposed of old porch wood).

Milo was easy to get a hold of. When he came to give us the estimate he suggested the mosaic idea for the bath floor and showed us an example that looked pretty cool so we said to go for it. He did the work over several days. He showed up on time, did the work and was generally pleasant to have around and he was good with the kids when they wanted to watch. His rates were very reasonable, his work was top notch and he had useful suggestions for improvements to our original plans as he went along.
Description of Work: Milo tiled our downstairs bath with this great mosaic pattern. We get all kinds of comments on it. He also finished a deck building project that I couldn't get done and moved a wall in the house.
