I wasn't sure what I wanted when I went in. Ashlee was very helpful and patient when I was there. They sent a quote based on my drawing and measurements and said it my measurements were off by only a little in my favor, they would not adjust the quote. I wanted a special sink and they located and ordered it for me. I checked with other providers and was pleasantly surprised that their quote beat the big box stores. Brian is amazing and was here when he said he would be. Couldn't be happier.

Midwest Rock Tops had the best prices by far after shopping around quite a bit. I wanted to make sure the company we hired used an entire slab of granite for our L-shaped kitchen countertops, and this company did. No unsightly seams. The sink we ordered was backordered, which caused a delay in installment. More bad luck; when our granite was getting loaded onto the truck the morning of the install, it cracked. They were going to have us wait until another day for the install, but we had already taken off work and didn't want to reschedule, so they recut the slab beautifully the same day and installed it. Very impressed.

Counters look great, fit well and snug to the wall. Job was done as promised, on time and on budget.

They were the only contractor I called that could get the job done by our needed deadline. Not very responsive to emails Waited around for the template appointment which they were late by 3 hours, said they went to another job first by mistake. Biggest issue is after top install we noticed a chip about 1/2and quot; by 1/2and quot; out of our new white cabinets. They were very defensive and argumentative about it he said and quot;I am 99% positive we did not make the chipand quot; ok new cabinets I had inspected in the AM prior to the top install and they were the only contractor or person in the house. I would have used them again but arguing about something you did is not going to win any points with me. He did offer to repair it but trying to fix a chip in white cabinets I am told by our cabinet maker will always be visible unless they repaint the entire cabinet. Sadly it is a very obvious location front corner... UPDATE: I am down grading Midwest rock Tops to a D- or F. When we attempted to install our 48and quot; Viking Range it was very obvious the cut on the Soap Stone counter top was very bad, with the naked eye you could see the hump in the cut. Midwest Rock Tops owner Bryan, was called again very defensive and argumentative (He is defiantly a and quot;Right Fighterand quot;) He said they would come back out and make any corrections and quot;IFand quot; needed. It was obvious the cut was way off had about a 1/2and quot; hump in 24and quot; so he made a new cut. Things went downhill fast he started indicating the cabinets were not set up correctly and a bunch of other crap trying to pass blame on to everyone and everything possible. After he left we noticed his cuts were not square, again way off more than 1/4and quot;. Another phone call but this time he was very hot, sadly for him he did not have much to stand on arguing angles with an engineer and I taught Descriptive Geometry for 11 years so yeah I have an idea what I am talking about let alone I design precision equipment and layout manufacturing facilities for a living. Bryan made another trip out, argued again about everything so I just started agreeing with him just to shut him up. He had the nerve to tell me my square was not square, I assume the same can be said for the Starrett precision square that is inspected and certified yearly that I also checked his cuts with again over a 1/4and quot; out. He argued about making any additional corrections I finally managed to get him to make one last cut just so our counter would and quot;lookand quot; square with our range. I would not use Midwest Rock Tops for any project even a small one such as ours again!

Both measurement for counter tops and installation went smoothly and professionally. The end product is beautiful.

My visits to the showroom to discuss the project and to choose materials were very pleasant. Brian was very helpful, totally professional, and never once exhibited a and quot;hard selland quot; attitude. In fact, he encouraged me to shop around. It didn't take long for me to decide that his was the business with which I wanted to work. Each of the four men on the job including Brian worked quickly and efficiently. They did any auxiliary work that needed doing, including the plumbing. All were very polite and answered any questions I asked. The job was done more quickly than I expected, especially the countertops. They took precautions not to make messes and cleaned up very thoroughly. No dust!!

It was a pleasure to work with Midwest Rock Tops. Brian and his staff were very helpful and informative throughout the process of creating the template, choosing the stone and installing the countertops. They had useful suggestions about how to handle issues. It was obvious that they take a lot of pride in their work. Everything was completed exactly as scheduled. In addition, the price was very competitive. An altogether satisfying experience. I love my new countertops and would recommend Midwest Rock Tops highly.

We hired Midwest Rock Tops to replace our kitchen countertops and sink. We had obtained quotes from three different vendors, and they were the cheapest. We also liked Brian (the owner) very much when we met him and had a lot of confidence in his knowledge and ability. He was very prompt and professional when preparing the quote and responding to questions. We also liked that they had the slabs of granite we liked in stock in his showroom/warehouse, and we were able to view the slabs right there - very convenient. We also loved that he did not have to remove our old countertops before making a template. This was much more convenient than other vendors who wanted to remove the countertop first, then template, and then fabricate the new countertop (potentially leaving us without a countertop and usable kitchen sink for 7-10 business days). They were able to complete the job within 2 weeks of placing the order. The entire installation took about 3 hours. They were on time, professional, and neat. We love our new countertops and sink, and highly recommend Midwest Rock Tops.
