On sales inspection it was found that water heater T&P valve had not been installed per code. Got McCullough referral from condo management. Unfortunately, I trusted the management and did not ask for a price quote. Although the work was done OK, the price for the both the labor and materials was completely unacceptable. I was expecting a $50 - $100 charge for the work. What I received was $216 !! I sent a letter to the company and they offered to reduce the charge from $216 to $206. This included materials at twice the Retail price and Labor for a Plumber at $95/hour which they reduced to $85/hour plus a non-plumber to hold the ladder to the access door at $60 an hour. I can't imagine $60/hour for an unskilled laborer to hold a ladder. I feel I was grossly over charged both for labor and materials.
Description of Work: The job was to add an elbow and 4.5 foot piece of vertical pipe to an existing water heater T&P valve. Very simple task.

The worker was over an hour late. The actual work was done in a very timely fashion and in a professional manner. He was very nice. However, when I got my bill today - it claims that labor was 1.5 hours and there is NO way he was here anywhere near that long.
Description of Work: Sensor and igniter on water heater replaced.

The plumber who came out was very friendly and courteous (offered to take off his shoes before walking into the house, even though the basement stairs were immediately inside the door). I'd originally called only about the leaky hose bib, but he noticed that the shutoff wasn't working properly and replaced that as well. He showed me two different options for the bib, pointing out the advantages of each one, and let me choose. This is the 2nd time I've had them out. My home warranty company works with them and I've been extremely pleased. Lisa in the office is wonderfully helpful and friendly. Everyone who has been out to do work has been pleasant, punctual (see note below), and has gotten the work done quickly, neatly, and correctly. I've never needed to call back for anything to be redone or fixed. Note: The plumber was about 45 minutes late for this job, but it was because the office was double-checking the terms of my home warranty to prevent unexpected charges.
Description of Work: Replaced a leaky outside hose bib as well as the inside shutoff for the same fixture. Note that the price is not the actual cost of the work. I paid only the deductible from my home warranty. The plumber guesstimated that it would have been a little over $300 if I'd had to pay for the work but said he wasn't terribly sure how accurate that was.
