The two people that came in were fantastic. We were especially happy when they told us that putting together as much of the ceiling fans as possible before hand would save us time and money. The work done was great. The ceiling fans are running like charms. The TV Mount and cabinet are working well. We will hire them for any further work that we need done in the house.

Mike and his team did such a great job. I was on a time crunch and really needed these jobs done right away. I'm selling my house and not getting this done would have been a deal breaker for the sale! They found time in their schedule to help and got this done. They were nice, clean, polite and really did good work. I would absolutely hire them again and recommend Let Mikey Do It for handyman jobs.

Two men came for one hour each. When the work could not be completed in one hour they offered to stay for a second hour for the same price. Work was done promptly and professionally.

I bought a 2- hour handyman coupon. When I called to setup the appointment, I told "Mikey" I had a two hour coupon and asked if I could use it to have deadbolt installed in existing wood exterior doors. He said yes. When the guys arrived for the appointment, and I told them what we needed done, they said they didn't bring the appropriate tools for the job. Then they told me they couldn't install the deadbolt because it would required drilling a hole into a hollow door. So, I asked them to install the deadbolt in the existing hole, they said OK, at first but then later said they couldn't do it (by this time I was at work so I didn't hear the reason) and left without completing the job. I called "Mikey" to ask why the deadbolt could not be installed, I got voicemail and left a message. My call was never returned. So, this weekend, I read the deadbolt instructions went to the hardware storage, got the required drill bit, and INSTALLED THE DEADBOLT MYSELF! I am 40ish- year old woman with absolutely no "handy" skills whatsoever, and I was able to do it myself in less than an hour. And guess what I discovered doing it myself- they door they told me was hollow, and therefore could not have a new hole drilled into it, is in fact, not hollow. The reason I give them a "D" instead of "F" is because one of the two guys that came was really nice and really tried to be helpful. I found no fault with him. I do question "Mikey" for not sending his guys out with the right tools, which I presume is why they gave me all sort of other reasons they could not install a deadbolt. Thankfully I only spent $79 on this coupon.

He didn't fix the toilet because he said no parts. I wanted him to change a light bulb, and he went to Menards to get a part. All that time on me, the deal was for 4 hours with 2 people. They had to go together to get the parts. one of them should have stayed to do the work.

Small job I know, but they took it seriously and did great work. The fan they installed (a Panasonic unit) is very quiet and effective. I was a little dubious about the need for a timer, but now that I have it, I have to thank them for the suggestion. Love it. Communication was good. They arrived on time, were polite and professional, did the work promptly, tolerated my constantly barking dog with smiles, and cleaned up perfectly when they were done - even offering to recover the tools I'd left in the attic from my failed DIY effort. Their estimate was on the mark. Hard to ask for more. Thanks, gents. Much appreciated.

Assembly was great and quick. They were able to get to me in 2 days. My only complaint is I had additional work to be completed, I was told they would call me the next day to schedule the additional time but I never heard from them.

A little phone tag prior to scheduling. Mike came out right away, saw the problem and sent a crew the next day. They were running a bit late, so I called Mike and he said they should be there in 20 minutes. They arrived and after looking at the drier, they fixed the problem. Lots of lint had collected. Very glad because it was a fire risk and my drier now dries the way it's supposed to. As they were leaving, they noticed my screen door was slamming so they fixed that. I did have to cleanup, but it was minimal. They were professional and knew what they were doing. The plug was in the middle of the pipe in the basement.

Mike and his crew did a great job with the bath fan upgrade project and with the insulation project above the sun room. They arrived on time and coordinated well with the roofing crew that were there from another company. All work was done efficiently and they took great care to protect all parts of our home, inside and out, where they worked. I would definitely hire Mike and his crew again. Mike is very knowledgeable and does great work.

I really cant say how it would have gone - communication and responsiveness was very poor and I could not get them to start anything. I went with another provider who communicated with me. They did respond one time, but then nothing - so not a total F for communication, but not a stellar grade either.

I prepared a todo list spreadsheet and updated it regularly. Mike put time on his calendar for me over the two months that I was working to get the house on the market and his team would make regular progress. I simply could never have gotten this project done without his help. He went above and beyond to make sure the tasks went smoothly and he was very flexible. He kept my job on the timeline and he beat my first open house by a few weeks. He purchased several items for me at Home Depot, Menards and the Hardware Studio so I could concentrate on packing and cleaning and he then just included the supplies and hardware in my bill. Mike's lead assistant on the job was Chris who knows how to fix just about anything and who possesses a strong drive to get the job done right. Here a just a few highlights: Repaired several cracks in the driveway: Chris removed a chunk of concrete that was too badly damaged and poured highway grade cement in its place. He used a grinder to blend it into the existing cement. Compared to the cost of replacing the concrete slab, this was an incredible savings for me. Front Entry: Chris sanded, primed and painted my double front entry doors. He installed some beautiful hardware (handles, locks, kick plates) from the Hardware Studio and hung new house numbers. Mike went the extra mile to order and pickup all the hardware for me. Garage door: I asked Mike if he could repair the two wooden garage doors for me. They were too rotted to repair, so Mike contacted the company that had installed the doors to see if they could supply some new panels. They came out for an inspection and let him know that the doors would have to be replaced. Mike got an estimate from Northland Doors and Menards and offered his opinion. I hired Northland to replace the two garage doors. This was just one example among several where Mike did all the leg work for me to get me in touch with someone who could do the required work. Mike did not charge me. Front Entry Chandelier: This 18-light enormous brass and glass chandelier was last cleaned 10-years prior by a professional cleaning company with some breakage. This time, I had Mike do the job with no problems at all! He brought scaffolding in and removed and hand-washed all of the glass panels, polished the brass, changed out the light bulbs and rehung the glass. It was transformed into a beautiful sparking fixture that became the focal point of the home's grand entry. Throughout the house, Mike updated the cabinet handles and knobs from wood or brass to brushed nickel. This simple change gave the cabinets a fresher more up-to-date look. When the handles came in, the screws were too long, so Mike cut them down to the correct size for the wood thickness. When I needed about 20 brushed nickel knobs, he recalled having some himself and gave them to me at no charge. It went well. They were honest and upfront with me and it was cheaper than the estimate because it took less time to accomplish.

Mike and his team did a fantastic job sealing the house up before winter. Chris in particular was thorough and very focused on making sure things were done correctly. The air sealing included removal of vents which look perfect, along with closing a door which was very leaky. Each improvement was well done, with obvious attention to detail and quality. I would have these gentlemen work on my house again in the future!
