Jon Long Handyman offers the following services: I try to fill the niche between doing it yourself and hiring an expensive professional. Sometimes some tasks are beyond a client's personal knowledge or schedule but do not require a contractor or full service repair shop. Sometimes there is a worthwhile savings inherent in hiring a handyman instead of: a full service mechanic, contractor, landscaper, etc. My overhead is lower and I subsequently do not charge as much as a full service professional. I provide referrals when needed.
This depends on the job but generally I cannot provide services that require an auto shop or wood shop: ie: engine rebuilds, transmission work, tire changing, restorative carpentry, extensive carpentry or electrical work, landscaping requiring heavy equipment etc.
