JC Premier Seal

JC was great to work with. He gave me a pretty accurate estimate in the fall of 2013 and when we reconnected in the spring of 2014 to have the service performed, the cost was only slightly higher. For a parking lot that had not been maintained since installation (10+ years), it came out great at a reasonable price. I would highly recommend them and will have them return when the work needs to be done again.

Initial contact was easy, they stopped at the house within a day or two to measure up the driveway. They gave us a quote and scheduled the work. Ended up calling us a few days earlier to see if they could go ahead and do it, so we did. Easy enough to work with, and the driveway looks great! Filled cracks and resealed the driveway to the edges, no mess.

They were unable to do the sealcoating as my driveway needs to be repaved.

Despite the weather causing us delays Jason kept in communication and got the job done as soon as he could. Fast, efficient, and professional. I will be calling on him for more work as he does remodeling and retaining walls that I will need done next year.

This company resealed our driveway. We bought the deal online where we would have the driveway resealed for $189. After coming to see our driveway, they quoted us an additional $250 to fill in the many cracks in the driveway. I was disappointed about the additional cost. Since I had already bought the deal, I felt I should use this company, but I likely would have gotten other bids otherwise. However, our driveway was in bad shape and does look much better since the work was completed. We scheduled a time with this company to have the work done, but then due to weather it was not done. The company did not call to let us know that they would have to do it the following week due to weather. They did respond promptly when I contacted them about it, though.

Excellent professional service. The driveway preparation, repairs and coating were done within a few hours. JC also offered advice on supporting our driveway entrance with additional soil.

After I purchased the deal, they came and took a look, the deal was for asphalt and I had concrete. They gave me a quote of $1,761, I just decided to get a refund. They were very nice; I just did not want to spend that money right now

It was good. He was very good, thorough, and I was pleased with the job that he did. They sent one guy out to do the job. He got the job done in about an hour and a half to 2 hours. We had to reschedule one time due to the weather, but everything worked out fine.

unfortunately, we did not read the fine print on the resurfacing deal offered by angie's list, and our driveway was much larger than the area the deal covered (600 square feet). when the contractor arrived he gave me a bill for an additional $350 to do the driveway. or he would only resurface the first 600 square feet of our driveway. it's our fault completely for failing to read the fine print, and we weren't interested in having just part of the driveway resurfaced. so we told the contractor that we wouldn't have him do our driveway. also, we are planning to have the driveway replaced in a year or two, so it made sense for us to hold on to the $350 for the future replacement. refunds are not an option if you make a mistake like we did, according to the contractor. and while he seemed quite interested in making the situation 'right' with us, he offered us very few options for doing so. he seemed very concerned that he would get a negative review on angie's list, and i felt bad for him because he was so worried we would give him an unfair review. while i have no idea if he does quality work, i do know that when we asked him to resurface our neighbor's driveway instead of ours (which was right next to our driveway, and would have taken no more time or effort than resurfacing our driveway), he refused. he said that the deal was not transferable and he pointed out that this was information was also included in the fine print that we failed to read. i suppose it would have technically violated the terms and conditions of the deal, but our neighbors would have been thrilled to have gotten the benefits of our mistake. and we would have been much happier with the outcome of the unfortunate situation if he had been willing to move the work 20 feet from our driveway to our neighboring driveway. and it would have felt like the contractor was truly willing to try to make things right, instead of hearing him say repeatedly that he wanted to make things right, but having to hear that he can't actually do anything differently. sigh. that said, he was within his rights to refuse. i hope that you all can learn from our $189.00 mistake and read the terms and conditions of angie's list deals. that way some good would come out of the situation.

We have a 1600 sq ft driveway so it's a good size. All-in-all, the quality seems very good and I would use them again. The only complaint I have is that they could use some polish in the professionalism department. I asked for quotes to be sent, but never received quotes - only phone calls which are un-trackable and unable to be referenced later. All reputable, modern service companies will send a quote via email. Even after repeated requests, via email, the only contact returned were phone calls and often the message left was not completely intelligible. So, the advice I would give to JC would be - speak clearly and plainly when leaving calls especially if that is the only method of contact you prefer to use. Repeat phone numbers at the end along with your name. I would also recommend getting used to responding to e-mail requests as these are a tool of a busy workforce these days! State your intent and clearly indicate when you'd be following up or performing the work. Aside from the professionalism - the work they did was fantastic and looked great. I would anticipate that I'll use them again if the price is right.

We purchased the Angie's List discount from JC Premier for $189 for up to a 600 foot driveway. We have about half of that, so perhaps this deal was a bit overkill for us. After some delay, JC Premier contacted us, and they came out and reviewed the driveway, providing an estimate for the additional crack filling at $75-100. The total seemed reasonable, so we went ahead and scheduled a date tentative on the weather. It turned out the weather was bad the day before, so JC Premier asked if we could do the next day. No time was specified, and the employee showed up a bit before noon. This was somewhat inconvenient, since the kids nap right after lunch. However, he was rather quiet (after using a leaf blower to remove debris) and got the job done in an hour. So far, everything looks great. The cracks were not completely filled to the top of the crack, but I'm not sure it's necessary - the point is to keep them from getting worse. The seal coat is a nice jet black. We waited 2-3 days since it had been quite a bit cooler, to let it dry out. JC Premier, other than struggling a bit with communicating in a timely fashion, did an excellent job. Given I have two kids at home, I appreciate not having to do this myself - it certainly would have taken longer and would very likely not have been as good (either the product or workmanship). Update on 11/22/2013: The seal coat has been lasting well. However, we had someone park in our driveway and likely peel out or otherwise do something odd that pulled up some of the seal coating. I called to ask about whether that should have happened at all, and I didn't get called back. I called today, and the number seems to be disconnected. There's a message that says, "this number is not accepting calls". Odd. I would like to discuss this to see if it could happen and whether I could get it repaired, but the contractor can't be contacted. I updated the responsiveness rating and quality rating to reflect these two updates.

I can't say I'd never use them again, but I would probably look elsewhere first. They never responded to emails that I sent. They were fairly responsive via phone, however definitely sounded unprofessional/irritated. The work was scheduled and completed quickly. The completed work looked very nice. However I parked in the driveway 3 days later and ended up leaving tire marks in the spot I was parked. Not sure if this was due to temperature, humidity or something else, but their recommendation was to wait 24 hours. Other than the tire marks, the coating looks good and seems durable, but time will tell on the durability.

They arrived on time and we discussed everything to be done which in our case was just sealcoating our driveway. They did an excellent job and were very neat. Everything looks good and the materials used were supposed to be of very high quality - time will tell. Totally satisfied.

Had to keep on him as far as communication goes. They did a very good job on the driveway. As far as the durability... time will tell. I was very disappointed when I looked out my window and found them pulling my hose out to the ditch for them to clean their tools with. I wish they had asked first. They never mentioned they would do their clean up here. I wasn't prepared for that stuff to be in my ditch (it's very shallow). I called out the window and said that the nozzel was new and that I didn't want any "tar" on it. The next day I went out to water my garden and the nozzle was broken. I was not a happy. I'm anxious to see if the seal they used is really as durable as they said it was. If it is... it was worth the price, The driveway looks great.

Bought the Big Deal. I didn't think we had a particularly large driveway but the deal only covered 600 sq ft. Ours was almost 1000 so we had to pay the difference. The owner was very responsive via email and eager to get the work completed which was great. He answered my questions and gave me their Eco friendly brochure. I had a couple of questions after the work was completed and he returned my call that day. Driveway looks great.

The service ended up being completed sooner than originally planned and the coating was applied as expected. There was some drip staining to our sidewalk, but was minor and will likely fade as it weathers.

The scheduling went smoothly and one person completed the work in about an hour and half. I was impressed with the quality of sealant as it had fibers in it. It seemed heavier than your average coating and he indicated the coating should hold up for about 2 years. He swept the driveway really well and he also blew the debris away. We were able to park in our driveway the next day. He was on-time and did a really good job.

We used an Angies List internet coupon. The coupon was $89 for the first 600 square feet -- this was actually in error and was $100 too low. However, contractor honored the coupon and did excellent work. The sealcoat is obviously much higher quality and is weathering much better than anything we have obtained before in the big-box do-it-yourself stores.
