Description of Work: Pete Iaquinta (ICON Construction) has performed general construction and home improvenment work for me for over 15 years. He has built us a screened porch, replaced windows and most recently installed a whole house attic vent fan and repaired numerous drywall cracks in our kitchen and living room. In addition, he revised our laundry area to accommodate larger appliances inclusing the plumbing. Over the years, Pete has provided us with high quality service at a reasonable price. He is creative in his solutions and suggestions and can do most anything whether it is electrical, plumbing, carpentry, roofing or other. Description of Work: Our original home builder had built our garage without a drain, and so every winter we have had problems keeping melting snow and ice from soaking up our drywall. We asked Peter to come up with a solution to our lack of a drainage system in the garage. He studied the situation in detail, pouring a small amount of water at the places where water would likely be dripping from the cars. He measured and cut troughs through the concrete, broke up and removed the old concrete, and poured new cement in the troughs to form swales along either side of the cars to protect the drywall. He also cut a trough across the front of the garage (just behind where we park our cars), and inset a removable grate to collect the water, which could then be allowed to evaporate, or if necessary, removed with a shop vac. When he was finished, he completely removed all debris and powerwashed the garage floor.
