He was very conscientious about cleanup and he was always here when he said he was going to be. He was very friendly and pleasant. He got the job done in a timely fashion and he was very open to helping me. I had to go to Home Depot couple of times and he came with me to help me make some selections.

We couldn't of had a better experience working with Patrick. In fact, we will hire him again for any future projects (hint, hint...new kitchen remodel is next, Patrick!) We hired Patrick to update an old bathroom at our lake cottage... ? He took out existing tub surround to studs- removed all old materials and disposed of. ? He found several unusual things done before him (strange things in fact) and it never phased him. He came up with good solutions and remedied the situation. ? He removed the old toilet and replaced with a new model ? He replaced all faucets & plumbing to shower ? He expertly tiled the tub surround ? He replaced the light fixture ? He replaced the bathroom vent- discovering that the old vent didn't vent anywhere except the attic. Revented. ? He repainted ? He took great care not to disturb the rest of the house. Cleaned all traces of his being there once he was done. ? In a separate area- he installed a new interior door ? And...He had an accurate initial bid! All in all.... FOUR STARS!

The friend called promptly and we made an appointment. He never showed up.

I called Patrick, the owner, on Tuesday. He called back the next day and set up an appointment for an estimate on Friday. He showed up promptly at 9 a.m. on Friday. He gave me an estimate and said he had a man, Steve, that could do the work the same day. Steve showed up at 11 a.m. He did a fantastic job. The final price was probably about $90.00 over the estimate, but I understood because Steve ran into a few things that made the job time longer. I was happy to pay the extra money. It was well worth it. Also, I supplied the new kitchen faucet and dishwasher air gap. I did not include that in the cost of service. Both Patrick and Steve were friendly, courteous and professional. We will definitely call them back for any future work.

He was pretty fast. One didn't work, I called him back. He said because it was a cheap lock. One worked, and one didn't. He seemed to be sincere. He didn't charge too much.

We called Happy to Help Home Improvement after we noticed that our fridge hadn't been running. We made several calls to many service providers, but Happy to Help were the only ones able to get out to us. The annoying part was that we were planning on replacing the fridge in the next few weeks anyway and so this really felt like an unnecessary, extra cost. However, the best part was that technician knew exactly what was wrong, and was able to fix it quickly. Even though we had to spend some money we had earmarked for the new fridge on this repair, we both thought it was a fair price, which helped easy the pain. Overall a really good experience. Will be going back to HTH for other misc repairs in the future.

He is fabulous. He's worth his weight in gold. I plan on using him in the future!

The job was complex as it involved taking apart an oversize range hood and rebuilding the cabinets around and over it so that a new standard sized range hood would fit. Patrick took his time to figure out the problems, worked stage by stage, and improvised so as to make all the unrelated parts work. The finished job was perfect, you couldn't tell that the cabinets had been taken out, resized, and replaced. Through it all he was patient, humorous and informative. And as usual, he didn't charge an arm and a leg. I would always use him but he is so good that he is too popular and very hard to book.

We ended up using another provider, but only because they folded the services into a much larger basement painting project. We would have happily used Patrick if circumstances warranted.

Patrick is the BEST! When he came over for the initial estimate for our bathroom redo he was prompt and courteous, and he was supportive of us helping throughout the project. He was also sensitive to the fact that this is our only bathroom, and had solutions right away to deal with this throughout construction. (He set up a temporary shower over the drain in our basement, and replaced the toilet every evening when he was done working.) His price was reasonable, and I was very impressed with how willing he was to guide us through the process. We had a lot of questions on what types of products we needed and where we could get them, but Patrick responded quickly every time and helped us make sure we bought the correct things. We did demo on the bathroom, and then worked alongside him when possible. He taught us more than I can type here! How to cut tiles, how inserts are installed, how to level a floor... Overall his communication was great. He got back to us right away, every single time. At the end of the day he usually left us a note about how the work was going and any questions he had. He explained things thoroughly and always answered our questions (and I'm sure some of them were silly ones). His follow-through is excellent as well! We had an issue with a faulty tub faucet that leaked pretty badly, and Patrick made an extra trip over to investigate. He couldn't fix it, but he left us a temporary solution so we could bathe and wouldn't have to worry about leaks. Turns out it was a faulty tub faucet, so after the company sent us a new one Patrick came over and installed it. He was also here late another day helping us install a tricky frameless shower door- a VERY HEAVY frameless shower door. As a person, Patrick is incredibly patient, funny, and kind. He didn't mind working with our puppy watching him from the kitchen and he didn't mind working with us on our first remodeling job. His background is really interesting too, how he became a handyman. In the end, our bathroom turned out spectacular! It is so much better than the out-of-date 50's bathroom we had before. His work is so neat and clean- after enjoying it for months now I have yet to find a detail missed. It just has that solid, well-crafted feeling to it. I would hire Patrick again for any job, he is the greatest.

Had an estimate done for a leaky shower pan back in the day, liked Patrick and called again for a possible remodel of an upstairs bedroom. We have a Cape Cod house, and Patrick was very honest with his abilities and his time available, he gave me another contractor to contact to better suit our timeline. He really is "Happy to Help!" I called Patrick on a Saturday afternoon to inquire about him installing some patio doors. He was booked out until February or March and shared that with me up-front. He also offered suggestions on how I should go about doing the work, going so far as to advise me to look for a contractor who specializes in what I need done. He shared with me that his specialty is Bathrooms, but still took the time to talk through my questions with me and offer me helpful advice. Based on this interaction, I would definitely call Patrick back when it comes time to re-do my basement bathroom or kitchen. Thanks Patrick! Keep up the good work.

Patrick is a class act all the way. Polite, helpful, honest, hard-working. He's worked for me on two occasions. Several years ago he built a new storage shed in my backyard because the old one was rotting away. Most other handymen didn't want the job or wanted to go with a pre-fabricated shed you can buy at a store, but Patrick built a really good shed from scratch materials. Then a little while later he was kind enough to do some small odd jobs at my house that I was too unqualified to do myself. I understand that Patrick is often booked far out into the future and now tends toward indoor-type jobs. If you're lucky enough to procure his services be thankful, because he's extremely talented and concerned for his customers. I would not hesitate to hire him again.

It was a four-hour job, it was a big job and it was excellent. He set the price, gave us an estimate and it came in under the estimate, so we were happy about that. We had him scheduled to doors, another project came up, and he finished that for us too, so he went out of the way to help us. The quality of the work is very good. It was a low bid; it was averagely priced.

Pat Doherty and two other people came in from Happy To Help Home Improvement to give me an estimate on my bathroom. He seems like a nice guy but he was 50% higher though. His punctuality is fine.

Over all experience went great. Patrick is VERY responsive and will usually get back to you within 24 hours of contacting him. He does quality work, and will always give you alternative options when something unexpected comes up during the remodel. Overall project took 5 days. i would definitely recommend Patrick, and will be using him again for my remodeling needs.

Patrick did an excellent job. He is a fine craftsman with a wide variety of tools and accomplished a lot in a short time. He is very busy so not always available to take on new jobs but you will be fortunate if you are able to work with him.

Patrick was exemplary from start to finish. I don't remember the price, but it was very competitive -- and much less than some. His work was excellent. It was pretty straightforward hanging of drywall, priming it, and painting it. And he painted and replaced some molding. He matched the existing paint perfectly and did a literally seamless job. I would highly recommend him, and will hire him again.

I appreciated that he took the time to write a letter to me with his own estimate and details for other people that he researched.

Process was smooth. When potential problems arose, Patrick always offered a good solution and always kept our budget in mind. It was nice to work with someone who was honest and professional.

Extremely helpful and nice. Helped me carry in new appliance from car in garage to kitchen. Removed the old microwave and put it on curb. Unpacked the new microwave carefully and actually looked at the manual, counted all the parts before beginning. Took extra care to insulate the back of the microwave and the connection to the outside vent. Tested it to make sure all the main features worked. Cleaned up and changed a very modest amount for two hours work. Will use this service again gladly.

It could not have gone better. The job came right in on budget. Patrick was very accomodating, professional and kind. He did an amazing job and I would recommend him to everyone.
