Description of Work: In the past I have often purchased a single rose for my wife on special days or just to say "Thanks for being you". They cost about five bucks at George's. Today I stopped to but three roses for Valentines Day. I was charged about seven dollars per rose. When I inquired about the big increase I was told "we raise our prices for Valentines." When I told the manager this was a nasty practice he claimed that wholesalers triple their prices to him for this holiday. He further stated that "Everybody's doing it". I have terminated doing business with George's and will send donations to requested non-profts for funerals and will bring food to homes that invite me to parties. I checked, and a local supermarket was selling a dozen roses for 19.99 that day, guaranteed fresh. I sent a copy of that advertisement to Geogre's because I wanted them to know their wholesalers apparently were selling much cheaper to grocery stores than to their florist shop. Or, not.

 + -1 moreWife's birthday, called at 10am to have a flower arrangment delivered downtown Madison, described what I wanted and asked for same day delivery. Florist asked for price range and made suggestions to fit my range. She incorporated my requests and noted additional delivery charge. Indicated delivery would be made by 4pm. Delivery was made before 1pm. I have no idea what a nice arrangment costs these days, so have no comparison. Wife texted me a picture and a thank you. Arrangment was very nice and was accurate to phone description. Could not argue with the speedy service and quality product. Would use them again without hesitation.
Description of Work: Delivery of flowers from phone order.
