We learned about the fine-quality work of Mr. Forbes through a mutual friend who also had work done by him and highly recommended him to us. Forbes Construction and Masonry is a Madison-based company which has been in business for a number of years. We had a great experience working with Derek. He came to our home soon after we contacted him for an estimate (within just a few days). After looking at the project, he sat down with us and thoroughly discussed our job, made several very valuable suggestions to do a better, more thorough job, as well as to help save us some money. Once we signed the contract, he set up a date to begin work and started locating the required materials. Unfortunately, the matching brick that we wanted had been discontinued and he had to go to Milwaukee to find a brick that was a very close match. That meant that the begin date had to be changed to a couple of days later. The job was ultimately done in a very timely manner. His workers were competent, knowledgeable, and friendly. Mr Forbes is energetic, professional, personable, and is easy to understand when he explains things. He returned phone calls, often immediately. It was a delightful pleasure to have worked with him and we would think of him first if we have other work that needs to be done. From the time we first contacted him to the final payment was less than four weeks, and that included Labor Day long weekend. We give him our highest recommendation.
