+ 1 moreIt was difficult to find a company that would remove this 10-year old power wheel chair. A wheel-chair provider referred me to File 13. File 13 told me that if it could not be recycled, the charge would be by the pound. When I was ready to move on this, I scheduled the pick-up with 2 days notice. Four days after pick-up I received the bill.
Description of Work: I needed to dispose of a power wheel-chair that could not be repaired. I was able to schedule a pick-up by Ed Abel of File 13. He was prompt and professional. He removed this 271-pound piece of useless equipment from an Assisted Living apartment. At the same time he was able to converse with the anxiety-ridden occupant in a sensitive and courteous way. The per-pound price for this service was $100.07 (.35/pound).
