FGS The Restoration Company

We had water damage in our basement due to the flood in 8/2018. Called FGS The Restoration Company based on a recommendation and they have good reviews. Our apt was setup within a week and a very pleasant woman came out. She had good pointers about the water damage and said she would be sending out an estimate within a few weeks. Then we don't hear anything for 3 weeks so I send her an email checking in about the estimate. Still no response so I call a week after sending the email. No call back. I then send another email 3 weeks after the first email and she responds back with the estimate. We then try to get things setup but she doesn't respond. I call the office main # who says she will make sure my message gets to the estimator. Another week goes by no response. I then send an email which she does respond to . With basically a response that they won't be taking on our project. "After speaking with our General Manager, we will not be able to take your project on at this time. We are out 8-10 weeks. I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused." Its very frustrating just finding remodeling agencies can be a struggle. And then you find one you like but they just don't respond. I can only assume it was also because our project was small to them ($10,000). We would then use them for future remodels as well. Anyway, we are now going with S&R Remodeling.

I needed to get this done ASAP as I was closing on the sale of my house. They were there the next day and brought in several individuals to contribute to the estimate as the repair was complicated and also required stucco replacement and painting. As stucco can not be applied when overnight temperatures are too cold, the final work needed to be held for this reason. They were extremely gracious working with my closing agency and waiting for payment through escrow funds. Yes, it was "pricey" but quality is excellent. [And the job did come in $100 under bid.]

We had water damage under our kitchen sink. Our insurance company suggested but did not demand we use FGS Restoration. We gave them a call and decided to do so. Johnnie King of FGS was the man in charge of our project. He was a pleasure to meet and a pleasure to work with. He is first and foremost professional. He went out of his way to accommodate our needs. If you have ever had something like water damage you know it can be a real pain to deal with. Everyone at FGS from the painters to the cabinet maker, to the electrician did their jobs well. If needed again we will not hesitate to call Johnnie King at FGS.
