Over the phone he was very cordial said he would be glad to look it over. Once I got there he pulled the chain and allowed the end of chain to get up against the housing. Something anybody who has had a cuckoo clock knows not to do. Then he says it need cleaning and the chain is not the problem. He wanted $250 before he look any further. I took the clock home and took it out the housing dusted it off with a paint brush and works fine. Though I wouldn't recommend this for everyone I certainly would check elsewhere before getting dusted means $250.

They are very good, and we always go there. It's pretty inexpensive. They are very friendly. They will try and do whatever we ask them to do. Hopefully they can fix it, but if they can't, they will let us know, but they will try. It may take them a while to find a part, but they will try all over to find that part for us. They have been around for years. Their price is reasonable, and their quality is excellent. Their responsiveness, punctuality and professionalism are excellent.

Called around and couldn't find anyone in town to fix a 25 year old mantle clock--except Dykman's! They evaluated the clock, gave me pointers, and got the chime functioning properly on site, without a charge. Service like this is hard to find these days. I highly recommend this shop for clock and watch repairs, and they have quite a selection for sale as well!

Our grandfather clock was in need of service. It had been looked at twice in the past by a service other than Dykman's and this time rather than replacing the time mechanism at a cost of over $1000 as was suggested we deceided to get a second opinion. I found Glenn from Dykman's to be very knowledgeable with regard to clock repair. He explained exactly what the inspection and repair might entail and gave me an estimate of what the various services would cost. When Glenn examined the clock he determined that the clock was only in need of adjustment which he did within the hour. I was amazed that the clock mechanism did not need to be replaced and also very glad to confirm that the previous clock service was not entirely truthful and as thorough as they should have been. I would highly recommend Dykman's to anyone in need of an honest opinion and thorough clock repair service.

I waited till the family returned from vacation and took my wife's watch in on Tuesday, August 7th 2007. It had been running slow. The nice watch repair lady noted that the sweep hand bumping two beats per second indicated that the battery was running low (something I learned from her) and she replaced the battery and gave me a discount card for future battery purchases. She also noted a few loose pins in the band, one of which was almost out, and she replaced them all, about 6 of them, and didn't charge me because she noted I was a regular and loyal customer.
