At Drywall Concepts, we want our customers to have a hassle-free experience. From drywall installation to repairs, you can feel confident when you call on us, and All work Is Guaranteed!
he job was to hang drywall over the ceilings and several walls with tape, mud, sanding and clean up. First issue was the fact that when the drywall was delivered, no drywall concept team member was around, nor did they inform me of the drop off. Second, the hanging was ok,there are certain places where the fit could have been tighter, but perhaps I should have told them I was not going with a large crown molding. Third, the finishing, almost done but failed to provide a cap for a wall, and there were clearly several placed where they did not do a good job. Forth and perhaps the worst of it all, they failed to clean up properly. While dust is not an issue, the fact that mud was everywhere (over wood works, over the outside of a door, over a tile floor which they failed to protect at all). I asked for some money back for this but I should not have to ask for such things. A job guaranteed should be just that, guaranteed and finished to completion. They were also drinking on the job (Beers found at my home).....

Kevin, one of the owners, was extremely responsive showing up for an estimate within 24 hours of my call. His repair person did a really nice job repairing the drywall cracks. His painting crew came in and did a superb job painting. We were concerned because we recently put in all new windows with new trim and the crew did a wonderful job keeping paint of the naturally-finished wood. They covered everything we asked for, were polite, responsive and just really nice people to have around for a day. The painting was completed in a day with an hour return the next morning for a couple of areas that needed a second coat. Looks great -- the obtained the correct colors and finish as ordered for the walls and ceilings, using a high quality brand paint for the job. The only slip up was the drywall repairman was supposed to call before returning the second day, but he showed up unannounced when I was not there to let him in, so couldn't complete the work on the day was supposed to be completed. Kevin immediately responded to the problem and had it finished the very next day.
Description of Work: Repaired a large number of drywall cracks caused by settling over the years with "soft Joint" repair followed by painting a two-story entryway into the home, the living room, the kitchen, the dining room and a common hallway back to the bedrooms.

I heard of Drywall Concepts from a friend that had his basement drywall project completed by this company. His project turned out great, so I thought I would give them a call. I contacted Dean Richards at Drywall Concepts for an estimate and he came to give me an estimate within a few hours. I signed a contract to have him drywall and texture my basement. During the entire process, Dean was easily accessible by phone and great to work with. His crew hung the drywall while I was at work so I had limited interaction with them, however, when I saw them in passing they were pleasant and respectful. Drywall Concepts did a great job and I am REALLY happy with the finished product! The final bill matched the estimate that Dean gave me (no surprises of hidden fees). I highly recommend using Drywall Concepts. I would use this company again.

Everything went well and the employees were very curtious to my home and the rooms surrondings. The only thing that could have been a little better is a little extra mud around the outlets so that the outlet covers were flush and you couldn't see a hole. Furniture covers this up and I was able to adjust the box a little more to help cover up the missed area so it is only noticeable if you are looking for it. Price was much better than any competitor and I had 2 other quotes done as well. The area was very small (probably 6 total drywall pieces cut to different areas as opposed to an entire new room), and they quote it for the work to be done, instead of bidding on it like it was more of a hassle which I felt other companies were doing. I would definitely have them out to do more work again.
Description of Work: I roughed in the drywall and Drywall Concepts came in to apply the finishing touches (mudding, sanding, texturing).

These folks are great. A very professional group with hands on owner participation and oversight. Kevin gave me a great estimate and described what they had to offer. I liked the fact that they quote for the drywall and priming as a single price. It is their base sense of finish and it makes a ton of sense as homeowner to inspect the work in primed condition. Kevin and his crew showed up on time and I felt comfortable with every single person they brought into my home. Very fast workers different crews for different tasks (hanging sheet rock, mudding, painting). Super results and attention to detail. And the bill was exactly the same as the estimate.

Would recommend to other customers to plan to be away during the days of painting. Plastic remained down on the floors for two days. Owner was responsive to our complaints. Line between ceiling and wall was done by hand, it was a clean enough line for me but my husband was somewhat disappointed as he is a perfectionist. The painter came highly recommended, however he did not do the actual work but rather oversaw the project. He had many projects going at once. Hopefully we will not need to paint for a very long time but from this experience we now know the kinds of questions to ask for next time. Lots of surprises from our point of view, however now thinking back we didn't ask the right questions.

We had drywall put over lathe & plaster in an upstairs bedroom. Delivery and installation went fine. Taping and mudding was "okay" as there are some uneven/unfinished looking corners & edges and 1 screw is still exposed which will not be covered by trim. The texture was fine and quickly done as well.Since we had already stripped the carpet from the room I'm guessing there was less care taken to keep the mud from dripping so we did some extra clean up to scrape that off the floor (yes, it would probably not have been noticed when we put carpet back in but this room is being used while it is being put back together (trim, closet shelves, hangers, painting etc.) so leaving it would have been a constant source of mess and would probably have made the furniture not sit correctly in places. We did have one issue where the cable outlet was covered by drywall which was not noticed until we were painting the room. The company was contacted and was supposed to have someone stop by to redrill from the outside of the house to replace the cable that was there before but they never showed up. I ended up cutting the cable off outside and caulking up the hole which means if we want cable in that room again we'll either have to pay the cable company to do it or I'll have to buy a tall enough ladder (the one I have is just long enough that I could reach to caulk) to install it ourselves. They get a "C" because the people are friendly, prompt and very likable. They also get a "will use again" with the caveat that I will be MUCH MORE watchful now that I know what is involved in this type of work. If there was an option for "Maybe use again" I would have selected that.

My house is a 1 1/2 story, with sloped ceilings and kneewalls. The job was complicated by the fact that the damaged ceiling is sloped, located at the top of a stairway, and the joint where the sloped part and flat part of the ceiling comes together is rounded. In my old house, the texture on the surrounding walls and ceilings were all different and hard to match. Drywall Concepts staff showed up on time, worked quickly, and did a good job of protecting carpets and other surfaces. The completed job looks great. I think that once it is painted, it will look even better than it did before the damage occurred.
Description of Work: I had some significant plaster damage caused by a leaky skylight. An area about 5' x 5' had fallen from my ceiling. After the skylight was replaced by another company, Drywall Concepts removed all damaged plaster, replaced it with drywall, finished/drywalled the recessed area around the skylight, and added texture to match the surrounding area.

They did a really good job. They gave me the estimate and scheduled the time. They did it all in one day. They taped and flooded it in one day and sanded it the next. They didn?t really clean up after themselves. After speaking with the estimator I found out that they had planned on coming back and I didn?t realize it.

They completed the job excellently, on time and on budget. What more can you ask for? Dean was responsive to all my job requests, and even included a couple of requests at no additional charge. For example, I wanted a finished edge on the bottom of the sheet rock above my garage door. I was satisfied with the initial finish, but Dean came back three more times because it didn't meet his standards. And he did this after I had given him final payment. I was very satisfied and would use them again in a New York minute. I highly recommend Drywall Concepts.
Description of Work: I obtained three bids to install sheet rock, seam tape, prime and finish paint my 2-stall garage ceiling; and do the same for an entire second floor remodel that created a 16' X 32' art studio for my wife. Also included were a staircase and two 5' X 32' storage compartments. While their bid was not the lowest, after several talks and revised estimates due to changes I added, I felt they would do the best job. The entire job took about two weeks.

It went very well. It took them 3 days to complete the entire job. I believe they use Subs but everyone was professional and the finisher took his time and went above and beyond to repair a few minor issues throughout the room he was in. The only Con that I can come up with is while they put down cloth, and runners on the stairs (because everything was carpetted) that much drywall work creates a lot of dust. It would have been very nice of them when they removed their cloth to run a quick vacuum over the area.
Description of Work: Drywall Concepts Supplied, Hung, Taped, Finished, and applied Sand Texture to a approximate 300sq ft cieling (that used to be a drop cieling that I removed) as well as leveled out and applied texture to a 12x8ft section of wall.

Well I was general pleased with them for the estimation process. Very good for keeping us informed of when they would be there and when they would not. It happened over about 6 working days. The only compliant I have is when they sprayed the office ceiling they forgot to cover up my wifes desk which got some overspray on my wifes computer. The work itself was just fine looks real good.
