Description of Work: I ordered a water cooler for my office. It stopped working after awhile. It was replaced by a cooler that did not work. It was replaced by a third water cooler that did work. No offer was made to compensate for the cooler that didn't work. I would not recommend Total water to anyone.

Description of Work: A year ago our water softener broke and we decided to go with Culligan because it was supposed to have a great system. From the very beginning, this has not been our experience. The power to the system broke within the first month. They came out to replace it. The system often gets 'confused' when we loose power and it needs to be reset. The reset process is not obvious. Now the system is not working well. We have lime buildup in our bathrooms. When I called to request service, they reminded me that the system is 'high-efficiency' and should not go through much salt. However, it is not going through ANY salt and now my faucets and dishes are getting scaley. I called to say this and now am waiting a week for a technician to come to the house. Maybe we just have a dud, but it has been very costly and now my dishes have a film all over them - not to mention what my faucets and appliances are like.

+ -1 moreThey told me what I needed and what I didn't need and they ended up installing a new and more efficient water softener and they were clean. They discussed different options with me and they actually spent time telling me how it runs because I was really not familiar with how a water softener works, but there was just one thing I remember, is that the guy actually took time to teach me how it works which is important to me.

+ -1 moreWe did not know the washer should be hooked up to the water softener. Apparently this can ruin high efficiency washers so this was good to know. The person doing the installation arrived just at the end of the window of time designated due to a delay at the previous job. Notification might have been nice. However, once the installation began, he was very conscientious about asking what route I wanted him to use to go in and out of the house so as not to wreck the wood floors or track dirt inside. Everything went smoothly and we are very satisfied.
Description of Work: Evaluate the existing water softener that was leaking. Install a new water softener. Hook up water like to the washer so that it was using softened water.

+ -1 moreOverall from Kim testing the water, to the installation, to the easy monthly billing, and the fantastic water, we couldn't be happier!
Description of Work: This is an update to my previous review - we continue to be VERY HAPPY with the service and value we have received from Total Water. They are truly a class act and Kim is awesome! I'm so glad she came out to our home and showed us what was in our city water. I feel very confident now that we aren't destroying our pipes and creating a plumbing nightmare. Our old water softener wasn't doing the job, which means hard water deposits in the pipes, on the glasses and the fixtures. You can use CLR to clean your sinks and tubs, but you can't use it to clean out your pipes!! I highly recommend Total Water to anyone who is having problems with hard water, etched glasses, itchy skin, etc. they will do wonders for you!

+ -1 moreIt went fantastic. This is a top notch, very professional and caring company. They are excellent to deal with and provide a great value for the service done. I have recommended them to several neighbors. That speaks for itself.
Description of Work: You know when you get to the bottom of a glass of ice water and those weird tiny white things are sort of gathered, swirling around in the glass? Do you drink them? Are they minerals, or just “acceptable” levels of contaminants or what??? Should you just suck it up and swallow them, or do you dump them, and then rinse out the glass before re-filling it? What’s really in there anyway?? Well, that’s why I had Kim out. She tested the water and it was within the EPA standards for PPM (Parts Per Million) for contaminants. Okay, so technically, according to the EPA, I could keep drinking the swirly things and cooking with the swirly things in our water …. Kim also took a look at our water softener, which it turns out was older than our house, and noted that by renting/leasing a Culligan water softener, the costs on our water and salt usage would go down. Well, this made a lot of sense to me – the old softener was inefficient and would need to be replaced soon, plus it was wasting over 120 gallons of water A DAY and using 6 times the amount of salt the Culligan water softener would use. Say no more. Let’s do BOTH – the reverse osmosis water system for the kitchen sink and the ice maker in the fridge and let’s replace the water softener. AND being cheap AND Scottish, the price was right – less than I was already spending – a no brainier… Now, I must add that I absolutely LOVE my Kohler “Smart Divide” kitchen sink and I was not thrilled about the idea of having anyone drill a hole in it to put Culligan water tap in for the reverse osmosis water. No worries, it just all went great. We would highly recommend Kim to anyone who uses or drinks water – really – you have no idea how many clear contaminants you are drinking or cooking with ---- YUCK!!!! We had both a reverse osmosis system put in for our kitchen sink and ice maker - and replaced our water softener with a highly efficient Culligan water softener. We are now on a monthly lease for both.

+ -1 moreWe had just purchased an old farm house with it's own well and even though we had an inspection done on the well, we still wanted someone to come out and check it as it was a little cloudy. Kim came out within a day to do testing of our watersoftner to see how our water was. The tests showed high levels of minerals and our water softner was out of date and not running the salt like it was suppose to in order to make our water soft. We set up an appointment for the following week and two of her co-workers came out and set up a new softner and put in a separate faucet that we could use for drinking water. This separate faucet for us to have pure filtered water - pure health clean water. We use to go though like 4 cases of water a weeks as both my wife and I would take about 3 - 4 bottles of water to work each day. Now with the new system recommend we are using water bottles and drinking right of the tap like the old days - when water was safe to drink. The money we are saving by not buying $4 case of water is amazing! Kim and her co-workers were so professional and extremely friendly that I would higly recommened her to anyone. I actaully had her call my mom who lives in Madison that was having troubles with her softener and Kim hooked her up in no time.

+ -1 moreKKim came to our house and tested our water. The results were pretty distubing because we thought city water was pure. We were wrong and the chemicals in our water was surprising. Kim was able to offer an affordable purification system which didn't break our budget. she tested the water after the filter and the results were remarkable.
Description of Work: Culligan installed a water purification system which they maintain. The water tastes great and we are very happy with the result.
