They came out pretty close to the time they said they would for an estimate. Very nice in person. Said they needed to deliver estimate in person - maybe to get some $$ from me right away? Stood me up at least twice while I was at home waiting for them. Took a down payment of half. I signed up to have door down and power washing of the house. Power washers never showed up. Company did not respond to my phone calls, emails, text messages, anything, for over two weeks. I understand they were out of town part of the time but then, seriously, a week after their return? Door finally done two months after they said it would be done. No predictability as to when they will show up. Decent work on the door but the head banging frustration of trying to communicate with these people is beyond belief. They take your money up front and then they don't show up. No respect for the customer's time. I have been an Angie's list member for nine years and have NEVER in all that time written a review this negative, but maybe I can save someone else who actually cares about communication from falling into this quagmire.

First of all, the actual painters were excellent. They were on time (even a little early), professional, quick, and best of all did an excellent job. We are extremely happy with the new color and how smooth the painting day went. However, the rest of my experience with the company was less than ideal. I struggled during the entire project with communication. After the initial estimate was complete, I was told production would contact me within a week to discuss scheduling the work and discussing if we wanted test patches done. We waited 2 weeks, then called the company. Several times I talked to someone who said they would let production know, but I had to call back 3 times before I finally received a call to schedule to work. At that point, the work was scheduled for a Monday morning. I was told I'd get a call Thursday or Friday with details about the exact time the crew would arrive as well as details for what we should prepare. I never received the call. By the time I tried to call the office on Friday, they were closed. The team showed up at 7:30 AM on Monday, and luckily we had prepared for this time frame. However, the lack of communication was really starting to get annoying. As I said initially, the painting itself was well done. After the project, I noticed that there was a small patch of wall very high up where some of the original color was showing through. Also, we had found a coffee mug left at our house. I received an email from the Marketing/PR manager, asking for feedback, so I replied asking if anyone could stop by the house to pick up the mug and quickly go over the bare patch. That was 2 weeks ago, and I still haven't received a reply. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend the services of Badger Painting, LLC, as the less-than-stellar communication is too much of a risk.

They bid promptly, showed up on time. They exceeded our expectations. On a scale of A - F, we rate them an A. Communication with Badger Painting has always been great. Their attitude plays a big part in why they have such quality workmanship. Tests of paint and color were always done prior to proceeding, and quality of products chosen helped to make the end result excellent. Customer service counts with this company. We continue to include them in our home improvement programs, both interior and exterior. We do not hesitate to heartily recommend Badger Painting .

We had dropped off informational flyers in the area so when we needed some painting done we had them come by and give an estimate to paint the external trim and a bedroom and bathroom. The estimate seemed reasonable so we said OK and I picked out some sample paint colors at the hardware store that they were to match. They sent someone to ask many detailed questions about what things were to be painted, like parts of the interior trim, which I found somewhat odd. I would just assume that if you paint a room freshly you would paint everything. Boy, was I wrong. When they came the first day to paint the exterior trim, they left the doors unpainted. The trim was nicely done, but of course the doors are highly visible and still looked terrible. I questioned this and was referred back to the contract, which indeed said that the doors were excluded. Very strange! How many people want the trim painted but not the doors? Then they came to do the interior. Despite their having marked my sample containers correctly, they painted the bathroom the wrong color. I was blamed for this for having signed off on that color for that room. I suppose I could have, but I was not left with a copy of this document to verify this. So I said come back and I will pay to have it repainted, and please paint the doors in the bedroom and bath that have as yet gone unpainted. They send someone to repaint the bath. There isn't enough of the correct color so he goes to get more paint and comes back with a third color that has never been in the picture before. Unfortunately, my husband was the only one home and he OK'd this color -- why it was sent over I have no idea. It's the cheapest, starkest white available, nothing like what I had in mind. When I get home it's now after 5 on the Friday before labor day. Two paint jobs, both wrong. Interior doors still not painted, although they did eventually paint the exterior ones. Paint splatters all over. Nothing I can do. I write up my experience on Yelp because I am very disappointed. Tuesday I call the owner and he says he would have run right over and fixed the problem except that my review on Yelp has "destroyed his reputation" and that "[I] would not take it down." Who knows what I would have done if the kid had made ANY effort to make things right? He argues with me for 20 minutes about the propriety of sending over the third paint color and says that as long as my husband signed off on it, it became the right paint color at that moment. No matter whether it should have been sent in the first place. The kid never took responsibility for anything. All our fault. I would not advise anyone to do business with this company.

They were prompt, efficient and effective. I will hire them for all my painting projects.

Up until the very last day the Badger crew was at my house and what followed, I would have rated them very highly in all the areas. They had a booth at a home improvement show I went to in January 2011 and Jeremy came out within a week to look at my house and provide an estimate. He was very well prepared and had a folder of background information, references, etc. with him. He seemed like a very enthusiastic young professional. I was concerned about having college kids paint my house, but Jeremy assured me that they all go through extensive training. I hired the company and was given an estimated starting date. The crew didn't show up until a few days after that date. The first day of painting it was just two young men who were overall very good, polite, careful about clean up, and so on--though they started on a section of the house that was in direct sunlight and ran into problems with the paint drying too fast. The second day (which was a Sunday) Jeremy brought a larger crew. It seemed clear they were rushing to get the job done. At the end of the day, there was a walkaround and then I was asked to sign off. I fault myself in part for not paying closer attention during the walkaround, and fault Badger for not doing a better job of educating me in what to look for (I'd never had a house painted). After the crew left and I had more time to look at everything more carefully, there were a number of small areas on my porch that looked sloppy, some small nooks that weren't painted at all, and, most importantly, a whole section of my house (on an upper floor, not easily visible from the ground) that had not been painted. I called to inform Badger of the missed area the next day. It was six weeks before I got a call back saying they were going to be in my area the very next day and could finish my house them--but I was on vacation when that call came in, and apparently didn't respond quickly enough because the job never got done. It's now five months later, I think Badger has ceased operations for the season (they use college kids), a recent email to them went unanswered, and thus the job has never been complete. I would, in the future, prefer to use a company that was in operation all year around and used professional painters.

This company was prompt with quote, and explicit about what would be provided. Showed concern for cost vs quality of paint. Crew of young adults was prompt, neat, and skillful at painting. Daily clean-up kept site neat. Work was completed in minimum time - excluding rainy days. Work was completely satisfactory, with good attention to details. We would highly recommend this company.
