The emergency water mitigation work was timely and good but that was when the company was Capital Remediation. Then this company was bought out by Aquire Remediation and that is when the trouble began. We hired them to do the rebuild. I have many saved emails between us and Gene, the project manager, regarding appointment changes, appointments where no one bothered to show up and the quality of some of the work done, like painting the walls. (Gene blamed all of this on the many rains we had this summer and their very busy schedule, which I sympathized with). However, I was never a 'top priority' like he claimed. Finally, after almost 4 months, I ended the contract with them. I then did the work myself which included painting 25 pieces of door and floorboard trim, getting an air gun and installing all of the trim pieces and then painting trim that hadn't been removed to match everything. The area to be finished was 800 sq. ft. Lots of work. Also, the contract called for two coats of paint on all walls in the large family room and bedroom. Their painter did only one coat saying that was enough -- a close look at the wall shows white, splotchy areas where gray paint should be. The texture where new drywall was installed does not match the existing walls at all. A credit of $668 was given for the trim work painting and installation they did not do and for the extra coat of paint not done. The amount of credit is a laugh! Gene took some photos when everything was completed, and after the work done by me. Of course, he did not take close ups of the many defects!
Description of Work: Emergency water mitigation service to dry out flooded lower level. Then rebuild/restore lower level including large family room and bedroom. Flooding occurred in June, 2016 and we worked with them until November, 2016.

Our basement was flooded due to heavy rains and a sump pump unable to keep up with the removal of water in the sump. I had tried to dry our carpet for a weeks time with heavy duty fans, but the pad was still saturated and the house stunk. Acquire came in promptly after calling and set up 20 carpet fans, 2 dehumidifiers, and 2 elevated fans, while pulling back the carpet in a few spot, in one room, completely pulled back. In order to save me some money, I pulled off the trim and drilled holes into the drywall to help pull moisture out of the drywall. Jason told me they would check in two days to see if the pad was dry and if dry, I'd only have 2 days of service. The 2nd day was the 5th of July, but no one called or came. I called and was told, he gave his guys off for the holiday. The following Monday I received a call while I was at work, stating Aquire was outside waiting to get the equipment from my home. I was surprised that I didn't get a heads up call, or a scheduling call, but instead the equipment people had to wait for 30 minutes for me to drive home from work in the middle of the work day. We didn't get an official estimate; it was more of a spoken price range. We didn't fully understand what they do; we thought they'd return and put carpet back down and put trim back on. I called Jason and it took several conversations to understand that I wouldn't have someone come back to replace carpet, replace trim, apply carpet smell remover. Basically, the expected services wasn't clear. The installers of the equipment discussed carpet guys would put back down carpet and apply carpet refresher. This didn't happen. Instead, after of a month of thinking Acquire would call back and return to fix carpet and replace trim, we called Bisbee in McFarland and 2 guys re-stretched the carpet in under an hour. When the Aquire bill came in the mail, no one explained what the codes meant, and it didn't match 2 1/2 days of service Jason told me we'd be charged, but 3 days. (after not coming back on the 5th of July, he told me we'd get charged for 2.5 days rather than the standard 3. Again, I had dried the carpet, only the pad was saturated.) Along the way, we had a humidifier leak water and resulted in a wet spot that I had to reposition fans to dry out. No one came to replace the humidifier, I was instructed to turn it off. I called the owner Jeff and expressed my issues and he listened to me and told me they will strive to get better. Note: Our electric bill was $250 higher as a result for 3 days service.
