Sully, the owner, was responsive to my request for a bid to replace our 2010 Subaru Outback transmission. The dealer wanted $7,500 so I was looking around for alternatives. Given positive reviews on Angie's list I reached out and was glad I did. Sully came back with two options, a used transmission and a rebuilt one. Both were less expensive than the dealer and other bids received. I went with the used one given low mileage on the transmission and the cost savings. He arranged to pick it up and install it, finishing within the timeframe he estimated. So far, so good.

Sully, the owner of All-Tranz, gave me an estimate based on a test drive and my description. I went to two other transmission services for estimates, those estimates were signifcantly higher. I went back to All-Tranz and asked Sully why his estimate was so much lower. After he explained the difference, I had no hesitation in accepting the All-Tranz estimate. I scheduled an appointment and brought in my vehicle. The job took 1 day longer than estimated because a valve body was found to be damaged, so they had to order a new one. They also had to extract two frame studs that I knew were broken, even though it took them longer to extract the studs, they did not charge more. They also did not charge more due to the damage on the valve body. When I picked up the vehicle, the checkout was fast and friendly. Sully provided a complete explanation of all of the work. The charge was just as estimated. I haven't driven the vehicle very far yet, but everything seems to be working smoothly. I am very happy with the service and the price. Everything went as expected. I highly recommend All-Tranz for any work needing to be done on your transmission.
