Adam's Handyman & Remodeling Service

I have been working with Adam for over two years now on various projects at my home. He has always done a wonderful and quality job on all of the projects I have ever worked with him on. He is highly skilled and incredibly competent; if there is a job to do, no matter how big or small, Adam can do it. He is very efficient and always finishes the job within the timeframe and always at or under his estimate. He is friendly and trustworthy and I look forward to working with him in the future.

We wanted some tile work done on our floors. Adam came to measure our floors, and told us he would call us back in a few days with an estimate. He said if he forgets to call us then we should call him to remind him. Well, he must've forgot cause he never called us back. We didn't call him to "remind" him because he should be professional and responsible enough to remember to provide us with a quote.

I can see why Adam has earned his Angie's list rating!

Having used Adam and his crew for an earlier job (they built some very attractive and sturdy railings for my front porch to match the handmade ones already at the back door, and did some repair and painting on those railings and the porch overhang), I was familiar with their work. They arrive promptly and are very skilled, and quite particular in the quality of their work. Since the trim work on my house hadn't been painted or repaired in over 20 years, it was a time-consuming job made worse by the fact that I was changing the color from black to white. They did a wonderful job, and the trim and shutters are now ready for another 20 years. The fascia boards on the garage were replaced, and Pat even put an extra piece on the end of a small awning over the access door--looks great! Adam noticed that the button in the garage controlling the door opener was not working, and after a quick look and a short fix, I now have a working button again--what a luxury! When I hire Adam, I know he will do a very responsible and good job of whatever it is, and not suggest expensive options when less drastic solutions will work fine. I will definitely be contacting him again.

Adam was able to provide me with an estimate within 72 hours of my call.Scheduled work within a week and kept to the schedule.The final cost of the work that was done was less than the original estimate.Adam and Pat were truly exemplary in every way.The work was done within the three days we had scheduled despite set-backs due to unforeseen (and tricky) framing issues and drying times. Adam did not charge me for drying times.In general, Adam knows his business and will not promise anything he can't deliver.He is a true professional who clearly prides himself in the work that he provides.The dry walling job on my ceiling was difficult. One would never know that a hole had ever existed there. Having Adam and Pat working in my home was a pure easy - they were exceptionally punctual and friendly and checked-in with me often in order to make sure that they were meeting my needs.They are meticulous and went above and beyond to see to it that the work space was kept clean.

Adam responded quickly to my initial call. He came over and evaluated the work. He charged for materials and time at a rate of $38/hour for all work. He is very attentive to the quality of work. (I was thinking "basement"; he was thinking "really nice basement.") He is very aware of numerous alternatives in wood. paint, accessories, and virtually everything else. He offered nice alternatives that enhanced the quality at a reasonable cost. He also has good taste. One of Adam's strengths is his responsiveness. He never failed to return a call timely. This was quite helpful as I was standing in the tile store trying to decide which tile to choose. He is at all times appropriate and very respectful of the fact that he is in someone else's home. He accepts the adage "the job is not done for the day until the cleanup is finished." Both he and sidekick Pat are good at what they do and easy people with whom to interact. The only problem that occured related to the fact that their third person left right when they were to begin the job. This left them short-handed. They did everything possibleto lessen the consequences. I suspect that they have now found a suitable third person. In that regard it is noteworthy that Adam was unwilling to accept anybody: he had to see the quality of their work and to get a sense of the person before he was willing to just grab another body to help. I STRONGLY recommend Adam to anyone needing home remodeling.

This whole experience went very well. they came on time at the scheduled start date. They were very professional and friendly. Adam gave me good suggestions when I asked for his opinion. They were very good about keeping their work areas clean. My new deck is just awesome. I have not been able to go in or out my front door for years, as the old cement had settled, and step was too steep for me. Now, I can go in and out my front door and even sit out there with my dog. I will definately use these guys again.

He was not perfect but he did a good job. I will use him again in the future.

Like many remodels on older homes, neither he nor we really knew what we were getting into. Adam dealt with many unexpected issues as they came up including poor quality original wiring, crumbling insulation, cabinets that were not sized to receive appliances with different dimensions than those removed, appliances that were delivered damaged, drawers with too little clearance to accept standard new drawer slides and more. He handled these challenges with ease, always offering a variety of solutions. Despite each day being different than I'm sure he planned, he left the space cleaner than he found it and always returned with a positive attitude, ready to take on the next day's "to do" list. He estimated our project and despite all of this, came in right on budget and finished within his estimated time frame. I cannot say enough about Adam's organization, his attention to detail, and great attitude in working with us. We have already called him back to do some additional work.

He arrived on time, he was pleasant, he knew exactly what the problem was, he fixed it, cleaned up, charged me a very reasonable fee (which was discounted because I was a first customer) and left. End of story. I would definitely use him again.

Adam arrived on time and removed the old, broken fan. He helped me select a new one at Home Depot, and we returned to my house and he installed it.

He did a great job, he finished all the jobs, did a very thorough job, he's fairly reasonable, and professional.

Please have the courtesy to make a phone call or send a text if you don't intend to show. Especially on a weekend when people are planning around your arrival.

The quality and value of the work was excellent. Just be sure to agree how many people will be working and what should be done each day.

They were professional, courteous, accomodating to our desires, and just plain nice guys. We'd definitely use them again.

I could not be happier with the work by Adam and Patrick. They are knowledgeable, have excellent craftsmanship, cleaned up all the mess, were on time and stayed within budget. I would use and highly recommend their services to anyone who needs home remodeling and repair.

Adam had an idea of how to fix the deck, but his associate suggested a different way. To Adam's great credit, he tried it--and it worked so well the job came in under estimate. Adam also explained why water condensed on part of my screen porch's floor. He did not give me a song and dance about how he could fix it, then charge me big bucks to try, like some guys would've. This is an honest man and an excellent craftsman. Furthermore, he listens.

He responded really fast but told me don't get to used to it because he normally can't do appointments as quickly as he did this time. Did a great job at a fair price.

In person Adam was wonderful to work with. Very helpful and informative. He told us that on average he comes in less expensive than floor store installers. He checked out the space and told us he would get back to us midweek with an estimate. It was just before Christmas, so when we didn't hear from him we waited until the next week to call him back. When my husband did call him it was clear that Adam had still not completed our estimate. A few hours later he gave us some numbers that we could tell were not thought out and ridiculously high for the size of our job. We moved on to another handyman.

We hired Adam's Handyman and Remodeling Service to do repair work at our home. He did repair the drywall, installed a light fixture, touched up painting and installed some safety locks. He was efficient, and seemed like he was knowledgeable. He was very nice to deal and responsive as well as punctual. I was pleased with his work and I would hire him again.

Had a rental property with a storm door latch that wasn't working properly. Called Adam and he was able to look at it a couple days later. He stopped by on a Sunday to see what it might need. If it had been something more involved, we would have scheduled a day to come back and repair it, but he determined it was something he could fix right away. It needed a new latch, and he also noted that the closer was broken. He got the parts and fixed everything in about an hour. Did a great job. Highly recommend.

Well. On time, did an excellent job, reduced cost of installation because of an inadvertent scratch to door. Finish Adam offered. No charge at all.

We found Adam on Angie's list and gave him a call. He was extremely responsive and came over in a matter of days to fix a piece of fascia that had fallen off the side of our house. We have a very high roof line and Adam did an excellent job scaling the side of the house to nail back the fascia. His fee for this service was very reasonable. We have made a note of his number on the fridge - for when we need a handyman in the future. My wife and I would definitely recommend Adam's Handyman Service.
