Description of Work: Well, this guy may do great work, but he doesn't have the professional courtesy to return potential customers' phone calls. What a shame. I was really looking forward to utilizing my Angie's List subscription! I'm going to keep on looking. Your loss, Adam.

Description of Work: He repaired rotted wood work trim around the frame of the garsge.

Description of Work: Fixed dishwasher He sworked with our son. We were on vacation. All was good.

Description of Work: Adam sanded 7 window sills and applied two coats of stain and finish.

Description of Work: Adam Shirley and his crew Pat and Dan did exceptional work for us. We needed quite a few repairs on our home and property. Adam was timely in coming to give us an estimate. He was knowledgable about all of the projects and very accurate estimating the time and materials which would be involved. After giving us the estimate he requested a portion as downpayment with the understanding that the actual fee would be based on the exact hours worked and materials used. Adam kept accurate records and the work came in below the original estimate. We had a variety of projects including two plumbing problems, one involving basement piping and another bathroom faucet needing replacement; indoor painting and caulking; outdoor painting; carpentry including deck repair, re-screening and repair of the screened porch door and replacing the entire top half of our storage shed (structure and roof); cleaning the siding on the entire house; staining the shed and deck and finally repairing the gate of our chain link fence. Adam was very good about communication regarding scheduling and progress of the work, giving valuable advice and seeking our input when appropriate. He and his staff were efficient, conscientious and pleasant to work with. We will definitely hire Adam to assist with future projects.

Description of Work: I called Adam because he had such great reports on Angie's list. The first time he was to come over to look at the work I wanted done, he was late due to working on sky lights. He took notes, and seemed to be knowledgeable. He told me he would call with a quote before the weekend was over (he was here on a Thursday). I never heard from him that weekend at all. I thought that maybe he meant that he would get back to me the following weekend, so I waited a week. No call. Finally, I called him to find out what was up. He said his notebook got rained on, and all his notes smeared, leaving him w/o contact info. Fair enough (although he did have my email address, so it seemed like an excuse). He came over again, looked at all the jobs, and called several days later with a quote, which seemed high. My partner and I talked it over and decided that there was one job we would wait on. I emailed him to ask that he send me an adjusted quote, and never heard back from him. I'm done chasing him.

Description of Work: After discussing various options, Andy scheduled a time and showed up with his co-workers to do the work just as agreed. He hung two doors, created and installed a cabinet for my bathroom, and tore down a structure in my basement all in a day. It was a pleasure doing business with him.

Description of Work: Adam and his colleague finished a tremendously long "to do" list for us. They were extremely respectful of our things and very clean. The work was professional and of high quality.
