Arrived on time. Very polite and listened to everything I wanted done. Did a great job moving the furniture in a short amount of time. Very pleased with this family-owned moving service. Will certainly hire them again!!

Wow! Awesome experience. We hired A Way Home Moving to help us reinstall and rearrange furnishings after a home renovation. Three men arrived, worked efficiently, and were extremely pleasant. We have had some terrible experiences with other moving companies that gave an estimate based on items to be moved, stairs involved, square footage, etc. After suffering through a day of "I didn't realize this was going" or "that wasn't listed in the quote", the cost was always well above the estimate. Not so with this company! They were willing to work for an hourly rate, which included all of the "gear" (dollies, wrap, pads). It was so easy- I called the office, told them what I needed, and it happened at the cost I anticipated. Sounds like a simple concept, but if you have ever used movers you probably know that this is frequently not the case. It was terrific to find a moving company with excellent customer service and performance. The fact that they are family owned was a bonus. I hope we don't move again any time soon, but if we do I will call A Way Home.

Justin and his crew showed up early and got to work right away. They moved all of our large furniture and boxes in a record time. They disassembled our king bed, bunk beds and couches at the old place, hauled them, and put them back together at the new place with no issues. Really hard workers who get the job done quickly. I highly recommend them and would hire again. Really took the stress out of moving day!

We had a great experience with A Way Home Moving. We were able to schedule a time over the Labor Day weekend that worked perfectly for us. The two person crew (Justin and Derek) showed up on time and worked for ten hours straight. The weather was horrible, alternating between heavy rain and blistering heat and humidity all day. Despite that, they were cheerful and professional and worked steadily (they only stopped for about 15 minutes mid-day to eat a quick lunch). Justin and Derek took great care with all of our stuff, wrapping fragile items and draping things with blankets so that they could continue working even when it was raining. They were very patient when we changed our minds about where to place some heavy items in the new place and there wasn't a single damaged piece. The place that we moved from was a second floor apartment and the new house is two stories, so there were lots of challenging angles to negotiate that required removing a couple of doors and disassembling a few pieces of furniture. They put everything back the way it was when they were finished. They placed everything so efficiently that within 24 hours we were completely unpacked. I think one of the things that makes working with A Way Home especially nice is that it is a small, family owned business. Justin is actually the owner (with his wife, Heather) and Derek is a close family friend. They had a great rapport and worked really well together. It's clear that they love what they do (which is hard to imagine, given how physically demanding this kind of work is). They were so cheerful and supportive that we felt like they were old friends. Just having them around took a lot of the drudgery out of something that, by its nature, is stressful and hard work. We probably could have paid less had we gone with a bigger company but we felt that the price was fair given the exceptional level of care and professionalism they provided. I hope we don't have to move again for a long time, but if we do, we'd definitely hire them again.
