It went well. They spent a lot of time on the preparation and I believe they got it right. I enjoyed working with Andy and liked the people he had working with him.

He is an extremely nice person. He does most of the work himself. He does have one other person who helps him. He is very knowledgeable and knows his limits. He is very dependable.

He responded in a timely manner, inspected the house and made an estimate. After I decided to engage him, he came back over and walked through the job detailing what he would do and would not do. He offered to do additional repair work (replacing a board), but said he would have to bring in a sub-contractor and might not be competitive in the bid for that. We agreed on a date, he specified he would bring over materials and we arranged for him to leave some on a back porch and some in the yard. He then completed the work over several days spread out over a week. We had agreed that there was no rush and he had other jobs going at the same time, so this was acceptable. He initially missed two holes which I found on my walk around afterwards. He immediately came back and patched them and stained over them. I gave him $100 when he did the initial walk around with me to set the date, half the total on the day he started work and the other half after my final walk around.

Andy was very prompt and willing to work with us. Ultimately, we did not use him. His quote came in SIGNIFICANTLY higher than his competition.

Andy did a great job. The job cost exactly what we thought it would and was completed right on time.

Andy was prompt with his estimate and came when scheduled. He required a $150 deposit to "save the date". He was meticulous and pleasant, and keep the workspace clean (and usable overnight). I even had him do more than originally planned since since he was ahead of schedule. He charged by the hour, which I prefer. The dining room is "WOW". I would employ him again in an instant (and probably will). I HIGHLY recommend him.

He started on time and completed when he said he would. Andy ended up spending more time on the project than he anticipated, but stuck to his original bid. He cleaned up very nicely. I didn't have to go over or touch up anything. I'm very happy with the final result. I had received 3 bids, Andy was not the lowest or the highest, but after meeting him and speaking with him I new I wouldn't be disappointed. He was the one doing the actual work and this is his business, I felt comfortable he would do quality work.

I asked Andy for a quote for this job based solely on the reviews from this site. He was prompt in calling me back and in giving me an estimate on the work. From that point on, I found Andy to be exceptionally reliable and concerned that I was happy with the work that was being done. He kept in contact with me regarding the progress of the work, asked for clarification when needed and was generally very easy to work with. Above all, Andy does what he says he is going to do. He also knows his limitations and will not do things that are outside his expertise. Andy was respectful of my home (always being sure to clean up) and of my cat. I am very happy with his work, so happy, in fact, that I will likely get him to start the bathroom renovation (as soon as the budget allows).

Told me his work plan for the day, came when he said. Overall it was a excellent working relationship.

I found Andy's company from Angie's List and gave him a call. He promptly called me back and set up an estimate that same day. He started the job the following week and completed the work (with change orders)in nine days! He was always prompt and cleaned up after he was finished for the day. Andy is very professional and does great work! He was always willing to help me when I had questions and I wouldn't hesitate to refer him to friends and family. I was very impressed.

Andy communicated reliably to set up times for the estimate and gave a prompt bid. He was willing to negotiate on the price when the first bid was more, than I had expected to pay. He arrived promptly on both mornings of the job, covered the carpets and furniture, and moved a few items of furniture and the TV, which I hadn't had a chance to move. I was happy with his work, and he ended up putting two additional coats of paint on the accent wall, without charging me for them.

He worked on schedule. He replaced only the wood we discussed and did not try to increase the cost of the job. In fact, he recommended we repaint it ourselves as a cost saving measure.

Excellent! The work was completed sooner than expected, and under the estimate. Clean-up was fantastic. Very positive experience.

The work went very well. Andy accomplished all this in two days. Now we actually have a usable garage space again and the ugly roof is replaced.

Excellent. In a two week project, working alone for ten 8-hour days, Andy was able to complete the project in the estimated amount of time. Even though unexpected problems were encountered in 60 year-old house, such as rotten backer board behind old tiles, ants in woodwork, walls not squared and/or level. He is thoroughly dependable and was considerate of a family living in a one-bathroom house, was able to keep the toilet regularly available and kept us bathing during days when we couldn't shower. When a plumber was needed, he was able to subcontract one to meet and work for the minimally necessary time. Because walls were part plaster and part drywall, sanding, smoothing and blending was necessary which went well. He was able to pick up and bring to the project all of the materials, cabinetry, tiles, paint, flooring, etc. purchased from various local sources.

Last spring Andy replaced some rotten siding and trim, scraped, sanded, primed and painted the exterior of a small garage. When he was done with that he built two custom shed style doors installed them and fixed the window on the side of garage.

This job could have been a much more serious problem if the damage had extended underneath the bathtub. Andy inspected the flooring from the basement and determined that the damage was confined to an area around the toilet. Andy worked efficiently and we were very happy with his promptness and attention to detail. We are very satisfied with his work and his rates.

We were really happy with the whole project. Andy was easy to work with and we felt we really got our money's worth. In particular, we appreciated that he helped us understand what would work and what wouldn't work, and what was worth spending money on and what wasn't. We were able to go to work in the morning and come back to major progress in the basement each day, and he was always easy to get in touch with for questions. He also made sure to put us in touch with other contractors who could help us get the job done on a budget. The basement looks about 1,000 percent better now than it did before the remodel.

Wonderfully! Andy Hino is a professional and an articulate worker. He isn't satisfied until the job is not only finished completely and to the client's satisfaction, but also to his strict criteria. He also accommodates my schedule as well as my toddler's napping schedule so that there is little or no disruption to our daily household routine. Andy arrived at exactly the time we agreed, we discussed the work that needed to be done, and he went to work moving furniture, laying down drop cloths, and prepping for the job. The plaster/drywall tape repair work was the messiest part of the job and he told me in advance so that we could choose to be out of the house to avoid he dust and smell. After that dried, he went to work priming the walls and painting. The repair work was well done. The painting looks beautiful! My dog loves him and chooses to hang out in the room Andy is painting. My son loves him too and likes to watch him work. Andy is gracious to put up with them both.

Andy came over and gave estimate within two days of me contacting him. The drywall repairs were made and textured. He then painted 2 coats of high end paint, which I received at a substantial contractor discount. Overall I got exactly what I was told, in the time I was promised.

The service was Superb! Andy was A+ from start to finish. Phone correspondence was great and very detailed. He was out the next day to quote the job and 3 days later, I have a beautiful new floor. I look forward to working with AH Remodeling on all my home projects. I will definitely recommend to friends and family.

Andy was great. He came out to bid right away, and fit is in his schedule when we needed him. The floors look great, and the painting is very meticulous. The best part was that he actually answered his phone when we called him! (This was our biggest complaint with other contractors we've used in the past.) He also seemed to be a genuinely nice guy.

They started in the kitchen with all the demolition, and once they were done with that he painted lower level walls and installed flooring. While waiting on counter tops the demolition in the attic was done. Drywall was hung, textured, and painted. A safety rail was put up. The stairs were re-finished and light fixtures were installed. The basement walls and floors were painted. And when counters arrived they were installed with new sink and plumbing.

Andy was there on time and got the job done within time needed and within budget. This was a flip for a rental house. The interior painting was completed first, followed by the re-finishing of trim. The new sub-floor and vinyl were installed, followed by new trim in the kitchen. Andy did small repair jobs throughout the job that were needed as they came up. Such as re-finishing the trim instead of replacing, drywall repairs, replacing cedar lap siding, and caulking on exterior before staining. Last he stained the exterior and built two handrails and painted them.
