Description of Work: He gave a quote for putting in wood flooring in our house.

Description of Work: Removed all carpet and installed laminate flooring on 1st and 2nd floor, painted interior of rooms and hallways on both floors, removed some old insulation and installed new insulation, replaced bi-fold closet door, and completed various repairs needed in the house.

Description of Work: Installation of R-13 insulation, vapor barrier and 1/2" sheetrock on garage walls, with the exception of one wall that had the fire barrier sheetrock installed during initial construction. That wall had a section that was not dry-walled so they finished it, too. Joint compound and tape applied to new walls as well as to areas where missing on fire wall. 2nd layer of joint compound applied and screw holes filled. After final coat of mud was applied, joints and screw holes were sanded. All finished walls were primed with Hi Build primer.

Description of Work: A.H. Remodeling completely renovated our bathroom. Replaced shower, sinks, vanity, flooring, mirrors, drywall, fixtures, etc.

Description of Work: 4-color exterior paint job We (owners) did the prep work to save $ [we won't be doing that again!] Andy did some window glazing and minor caulking, and used an exterior stain, and 3 other latex colors with a oil based primer.

Description of Work: Power washed, scraped, and sanded wood siding on garage and back of house, window trim, deck, and fence. Primed all bare spots with oil-based primer, replaced rotten trim, stair tread and riser on deck. Painted or stained all wood on house and garage plus doors, deck, and fence with high quality paint and stain.

Description of Work: Closet had been stripped to the studs and had to be completely rebuilt. Durovents were installed in stud cavities, along with fiberglass insulation and vapor barrier. Drywall was installed on walls and ceiling, including mud, tape, prime, texture, and paint. New casing was installed around window and door, and new baseboards were installed, primed, and painting. Ceiling light and closet rod were reinstalled.

Description of Work: Our lower level, which is approximately 98% living space, was damaged or affected by water/mold damage. Andy was responsible for rebuilding the space. A mold re-mediation company was used to do the initial demolition, cleaning and testing. We also had a second sump pump system installed. This made this a far more complicated job than a normal remodeling job. Working with the mold experts, Andy had to be knowledgeable of working in a toxic environment and what they do in order to be able to develop his bid. Working with the sump pump people, he, again, had to research what they do in order to know what he would have to do after they finished He also had to find out how to do some things so as not to damage the system. The remolding included an office, a laundry room, 2 bathrooms, a large bedroom, a storage area and some hallway area. To install the second sump pump they had to jack hammer a trough for the drain tiles around the entire perimeter of the basement. To do this, they had to remove the base piece and cut out many of the 2x4's from the walls. Andy had to rebuild the bottom half of all the walls in the rooms this occurred. The remodeling included the removal of some drywall, insulation and baseboards. He and his crew installed, and then taped and applied mud to new drywall. He primed and textured it to prepare it for painting. They painted walls and ceilings (some places one coat and others two.) He stained and installed new as well as the old baseboards. He cut and installed ceramic tile floors. He had subcontractors install vinyl flooring where applicable (they patched places where necessary.) He rehung all doors and replaced all light fixtures. He installed co-base (sp?) in the laundry room. When we needed an electrician and plumber for the sump pump install, he called his guys for us. He ordered the storage Pod for us. Aside from the above insurance claim, we hired Andy to do some extra jobs for us. He painted the floor of the storage room. He removed the caulk from around our shower and did it over (it had mold stains and looked "thin.") He re-did the caulk around our kitchen counter which involved removing a lower cupboard that needed to be straightened. He did some touch-up painting. He had to get creative to fill in some gaps in our storage area to prevent our cats from getting in places they should not get into. There were so many details Andy took care of for us, so many things that he did to make things a littler easier for us. One example was when he covered the whirlpool and shower with foam so the jack hammering wouldn't cause any damage from flying chips. He didn't have to do that. But, that's that kind of contractor his is - thoughtful, detail-oriented, helpful. The kind you want to hire.

Description of Work: Quick estimate with a timely start date for the project. Good suggestions on how to accomplish the remodeling of the two bathrooms, to accomplish what I wanted done, with feasibility and price in mind. Demolished bath/shower, two toilets, and two sinks. Installed new subflooring, new tub, new toilets, new walls, tiled walls and floor. Installed new vanities, mirrors, fixtures, and painted walls.

Description of Work: Contractor was responsible for several projects including: drywall repairs in the living room and family room; joint drywall crack in the kitchen ceiling; replaced about 8 ceramic tiles in the kitchen, and, painted the vaulted ceiling in kitchen and living room. In addition, he also, arranged for someone else to do the required electrical work in the family room.
