Andy is extremely easy to work with. He informs you of every possible issue and hiccup along the way, always being very sensitive to costs and inconvenience. He works with a great team and has a wonderful Amish carpenter who can do custom cabinetry. Their work was wonderful and I will definitely use them again!

Andi Hino who apparently runs the company came by to do the estimate. He was on time. He spent between 45 minutes and 1 hour here telling us what could not be done. He was the most negative person who had come in. Anything we suggested could not be done and would need different kind of stuff purchased through him. He spoke to our sub-floorer and said we probably would have to have our whole sub-floor out. He was just impossible to deal with and we got him out of the house and of course never called him again. We then had it done from a different company.

Andy is incredibly thorough, professional, and the most responsive person I've ever worked with. The job that he describes is the job that gets done and I would highly recommend him to others!

Andy is a professional craftsman. He listened to want I wanted done, submitted a clear bid and carried out the work promptly, the fence looks great and he and his team left my yard looking better than before they started!

It went great! We went from old kitchen to brand new kitchen in 3 weeks. Andy and crew did everything they bid on. Andy kept me in the loop throughout the process. He notified me whenever any problems arose, and solicited my input on any changes or details that needed to be made. He did some custom work to make an old house look better. Andy was concerned throughout the process that the work was excellent, and that I was satisfied.

It was great! They cleaned up after themselves every day. They were very conscientious as I still had a tenant living in the property. Andy is very great to work with. He is a straight shooter and he gives you his valuable opinions. I think his prices are very fair and reasonable.

A H Remodeling was fantastic. Andy's crew and his subcontractors are very knowledgable and precise in their work. I couldn't have imagined the excellent result from their work. Andy was patient, communicated well, asked me to make a lot of decisions and helped me get to a good result. I was informed on a daily basis what they were doing and when they would be at my home and when they wouldn't. They were considerate of my property, cleaned up every day and cleaned very well when they completed the job. It was an interesting process to watch and when I couldn't be home, I was very comfortable leaving the crew to work without my presence. The job took a couple of hours over the three weeks projected for the work and that was no problem. I got explanations for the products used and how to take care of them. I am extremely happy with the result. When I need something else done in the future, A H Remodeling will be my first call.

Very positive experience from start to finish. This team is professional, courteous and dependable. Andy personally checked in daily and oversaw every detail. Communication was outstanding. As often occurs, sometimes one wants to make minor changes or you just plain change your mind once the project gets going and you actually visualize the products in the house. Andy offered creative solutions and alternatives that worked beautifully in the space that changed but did not break the budget. A written estimate was provided and various options such as shower niches, accent tile etc that could be decided on at a later date were itemized so there were no surprises. I appreciated the flexibility that existed along side a very mindful " keeping on schedule" mentality. Total project took two and a half weeks. Will definitely use this company again. He did a very good job. He is very reasonable and efficient. He went of his way to get it done in a timely manner, because he knew we needed it done before our closing. We did everything long distance, and he was able to do that for us. I trusted him because of his reviews on Angie's List.

I really don't know how to express how genuinely pleased we are with Andy's work. We committed to this work in February and Andy was with us, every step of the way. Over several months, he guided and assisted us in selecting the flooring material, the cabinets, countertops, and many others parts and materials for the new kitchen. We scheduled the work to start in late April, and the project was started on time, and completed on time. The electrical work, the HVAC work was properly scheduled and completed right on time, so that the remodel work could continue, uninterrupted. The thing that I liked most was Andy's attention to every small detail of the project, every step of the way. It seemed that we talked just about everyday regarding the next days work and how it would be done and what materials were being used. I liked being "in the loop" and I appreciated Andy's sincere desire to make the remodel 100% perfect. It goes without saying, Andy is a perfectionist and it shows in his work. Good enough was never good enough. Every part of the remodel was done to perfection. Andy and his primary crew (Sean and Sam) were very polite and respectful of our home and our work schedules. They started late, on occasion, since my wife works at night and sleeps in a little later than most. They cleaned up the work area at the end of each day, and briefed us on the next days start time. Sean and Sam are both also talented craftsman. We were very comfortable with Andy, Sean, and Sam and gave them the run of the house on many days and trusted them completely. We were rewarded with a dream kitchen at a fair price! If you are looking to hire an experienced, competent and accomplished remodeler/craftsman, Andy Hino and AHRemodeling should be your first choice. When we committed to Andy and AH Remodeling, we talked with him and the other two top rated Kitchen Remodelers on AngiesList, and we hired AH Remodeling. The other two kitchen remodelers did not impress us.

A.H. Remodeling (Andy) was recommended to us by Stoppleworth Plumbing LTD. Andy and his crew worked efficiently with us and in a timely manor. A.H. Remodeling tore out old tile that surrounded a 30 year old tub and prepared the base of the tub for installation of a new tub.. A.H. Remodeling also repaired and replaced dry-wall around the new tub and replaced ceiling dry-wall. Dry-wall can be a mess - however, you would never know that each day that the crew worked on the dry-wall that they were even in our house. They always cleaned up. The crew left everything spotless. Andy and his crew are very dedicated to doing the job right. I have recommended A.H. Remodeling to all of my family and friends. A.H. Remodeling are TERRIFIC!

Andy was very helpful by bringing ideas to the project that we hadn't even thought about. He helped us realize that we could use higher quality services and materials and still stay very close to budget. The final product was more than we would have ever imagined.

Andy and his crew were prompt, polite, very trustworthy guys. My husband and I were especially impressed with Andy's frequent and thorough communication with us on any little thing that came up. We own an old home,and there were a few oddities that he discovered during the project but handled it with ease and professionalism. My only critique would be to better seal off the non-work areas from any demo dust - we have plaster walls and during demolition of the bathroom, the dust got absolutely everywhere - the stairwell to our bedroom looked like it had snowed. They put up plastic after I mentioned it but it was too late by then. Overall, EXCELLENT work - we love our bathroom and I am eager to have Andy tackle our basement bathroom/laundry room next.

We got estimates from Andy and another contractor in early August. Andy's bid was clearly lower, and after clarifying some details about what was included and what might be extra (important!), we put down a 50% deposit near the end of August. Because of his commitments for other projects Andy estimated that he might be able to start work as early as November, but that it might be delayed a bit. Work started the Monday after Thanksgiving. Everything except the countertops was done before Christmas but they could not measure for the countertops until the cabinets were in place (Andy had warned us), so the kitchen was not completed until the Tuesday after New Year's Day. There were no surprises and it looks beautiful.

Andy gave a thorough estimate, brought a team to get the job done on the date/time as promised, and came back a week later to inspect and touch up the grout areas again. He was responsive, honest, and thorough. I found him on Angie's list, and I would definitely use him again. The only bummer was that we had to wait about 3 weeks between the original assessment and the time the work was scheduled, but that's because he's really busy. Another good sign that he does good work!

I emailed AH Remodeling to get a quote on a bathroom remodel. He called back the same day and I described my bathroom. We arranged for him to look at the next week. We spent about an hour looking and measuring the bathroom. We discussed the types of materials we could use and he have me a budget for tiles, tub and fixtures. His quote came in the mail about a week after we met and came in about what at the level we discussed. Unfortunately this was done just before the holidays and I haven't had the time to follow up. I plan on following up now to get a better feel for all the material he quoted me. He was very responsive.

Andy did a wonderful carpentry job to make room for our new dishwasher. Our kitchen did not have a dishwasher previously so we needed to remove some of our existing cabinets and drawers to make room. The removed cabinets left us with some extra space after the dishwasher was installed, so we had Andy create a new cabinet area and drawer to match our existing cabinetry. The match of the finish of the new cabinet doors was almost 100% spot on - a casual observer would have no idea that they weren't original! We couldn't be happier with how this project turned out.

Overall the job went extremely well. Andy and his crew came in when they said they would. They demolished the old cabinets, took out all the existing appliances and tore out the old linoleum flooring. There was some concern about whether the old tiles had asbestos issues, so Andy suggested that we cover them with tile. He contacted the tile underlayment company to make sure that this would be OK. He frequently contacted manufacturers (or a grout stain he used for example) to ensure that the right products were used for the right job. When it came to opening up the wall, he consulted numerous other contractors and carpenters to be sure that the wall would be structurally sound. I never had any doubt that things were done with quality in mind and that they were done how I wanted them done--he was always checking to make sure that things looked how I wanted them to. At one point, when the cabinets were being installed there was a question about how a certain cross piece on the base should look. Before letting the cabinet maker proceed, he called me at work to ask how I wanted it done. Since I could see exactly what he was talking about, and since I couldn't get home quickly having ridden my bike to work that day, he drove to my place of work to pick me up on my lunch hour and took me back to the house so that I could make a decision in person. He then drove me back to work afterwards. I can't say enough about how well he took care of the project and my wife and I. We're kind of particular but he was always willing to make sure we got what we wanted. And, the clean up he did at the end of every day was spectacular. We've had a number of other workers (masons, carpenters, etc.) over the past summer and no one could hold a candle to the job Andy and his crew did with cleanup. All the entries on this list pretty much say the same thing--great worker, quality work, fabulous price. And it's all true. You can't go wrong with Andy.

Because the original tile and floor was put in badly/cheaply, Andy wasn't able to guarantee the repair: a small repair on a shaky foundation. But we felt anything he did would be way better than a broken floor. He gave us lots of information about the risk and options to help us make a decision, was careful with the work and cleanup, and really went the extra mile in looking for something that would match our uncommon baseboard color. It was pretty inexpensive, it looks great, and so far the repair is holding up great.

This is the second project Andy has completed for me and he again did an excellent job. Since it was interior work he was able to squeeze me in his schedule during a rainy stretch, much sooner than I thought would be possible. All the work was top notch and done quickly over the parts of two days. They left virtually no trace that they had even been there and the bathroom looks fantastic.

The job went very well. The communication with the owner was very good. He kept asking me question as the job went along on how I wanted the tiles to be laid and how I wanted the corners to be handled and so on and kept in contact with me at the same time not going into too much detail of too minor things. They were on time, cleaned up after themselves, they were punctual and the job was done pretty much on time. I will use them in the future

The work went very well. They performed demolition of the previous shower in about 1 day and the tub went in the next day and they did the tile work over the next couple days. The total project took about 1 1/2 weeks. Retro-fitting the space from the old shower for the new tub a bit of a challenge and Andy was very helpful and accommodating in discussing the feasibility and costs involved in various solutions. I also changed my mind at the last minute about a couple things and Andy was very helpful and happy to make the changes.

The company rep.inspected the work area thoroughly, then provided an estimate and gave a time line. The work began and was completed as stated. They returned to fix small details and cleaned up well. Excellent work.
