I met with David Moses, the owner of Superior, his field supervisor and a representative of James Hardie, the siding manufacturer, to review the project, the options available, and to have the house measured for the project estimate. Other siding products were presented, but we selected the James Hardie product as the most durable and as meeting all of our selection criteria. Less than a week after the in-home meeting, I received the estimate from Dave Moses. It was more detailed than any of the other estimates I obtained and listed all of the materials and services that were covered by it. After accepting the estimate, we scheduled the project to begin in mid-May. Due to rainy weather, the project lost about 4 days, but that was out of the installation crew's control. Early during the removal of the old siding, the crew discovered severe water damage around a first floor window that we had identified as sometimes leaking during strong storms. Since we were not at the house at the time, the field supervisor took video on his phone and sent it to me to show the extent of the damage. The next day, they had replaced the rotted wood, insulation and the window after receiving my approval for the extra work. No other major damage was found, but the crew did find that other windows and joints that had not been properly flashed when the house was built and installed new flashing to avoid any future problems. The new siding required special tools and training to properly install and the Superior crew did an outstanding job. As I said, I was not at the house during most of the project, but my neighbors reported that the crew was very thorough at cleaning up every day. When I inspected the work at the end of the project, the field supervisor pointed out all the details of the work as they related to the installation guidelines provided by James Hardie. The owner and all the members of the crew were great to work with- friendly, professional and thorough. I would not hesitate to use Superior for my next project and I can wholeheartedly recommend them.

I will start off by saying that eventually the work was satisfactorily completed and they did issue a slightly reduced price because of all of the problems, but there were a lot of problems. Their workmanship was terrible and it took 8 months to put our house back together when it should have been done in one or two months. There was one excuse after another for the delays. Obviously, I cannot recommend Superior unless they change their operating procedures.

All went well. They removed the old shingles into a dumpster, cleaning up after themselves. The new shingles were applied over the appropriate paper and rubber seals. We will use them again.

We had an insurance check for $16000.00 that ANOTHER contractor out of Illinois fraudulently cashed (has now been charged with three felonies and several misdemeanors). We were out $16K and needed to get repairs done out of our own pocket. Superior Construction and Restoration from Lodi, WI worked with us in keeping costs down, and in doing the necessary repairs. Were very professional; foreman checked the job at least twice/day; all workers were courteous and did excellent work. I would highly recommend this company.

They had replaced our roof had a year ago. It was the same management but different crew, they had different people doing different parts of their work. I think they said that they had 3 crews in the same area last Fall when they were working here. Basically the work was covered with insurance and they checked within the insurance estimate, primarily what Superior Construction does is insurance work. They're professional, they work with you to get the job done and get the job done correctly. They're easy to work with. They were responsive and they would clean up after themselves. It is a good company to work with. As to the price, I can say that they're good because I had estimates from other organizations for the recovery work and some of them were substantially higher than the insurance estimate.They stayed with the insurance estimate and worked with the insurance company and they hadn't missed anything.
