Chris Powers did a wonderful job walking us through everything it takes to renovate a basement. He was very thorough and easily answered all of my questions, and there were a lot! He took care to ensure we were designing a basement that fit our needs, wants, and home. Customer satisfaction is clearly their priority and it shows.

Chris Powers did a great job explaining all of the options, and provided a 3d render of what the basement could look like, making changes in real time. Very helpful to visualise the work. Chris was very knowledgeable and thorough!

Josh was incredibly helpful in helping us figure out if we wanted to finish our basement. He walked us through all of the possible options and was very honest with what the costs would be. I would highly recommend Josh for helping anyone with their future basement finishing needs!

We're so happy we contacted Buck Buckley's Total Basement Finishing. We finished our basement just in time for the first Sunday Night Football Packers game last year. Not only were they professional, but they also finished a week early!!

They installed a e grass window in the basement. They did terrible shotie work. They cut into the foundation and distroyed it. I had a inspect come out and he said the foundation was ruined. And then the window itself look horrible. As if I was installed in the dark. Theres gaps in the wood to the window. And the spray foam is all over. And the slope on the outside dirt isn't even sloped away from the house. They didn't even replace the grass they tore up. And left a mud pile. We called the company and they sent the forman out to inspect the work. And it still was horrible. Then the owner even came out and still was left the same with nothing done. We refuse to pay the other half until it is done properly. Unprofessional. They got our money then just kept giving us the run around still for the past 2 years.

We scheduled an appointment and they were on time and were professional. They listened to my ideas and measured the basement. Before they came out they provided me a booklet with the materials they use and how their design is different than others. The scheduling process was simple and quick. Now with that said the reason I give them a C overall is because of their price. The price they quoted me for 1100 square feet with a standard remodel no custom things was twice as expensive as the other companies that quoted me on my space. The cost was in the range of 75-80K. That is almost the price of building a new home. I was disappointed at the fact that they thought that’s was a fair price. Others quoted me between 35-40K.

Went great basement looks good and was waterproofed.

Buck did an amazing job of thoroughly explaining all options and the benefits of each. He as quick to respond and was very enjoyable to work with. I would call him again if I needed some remodeling done.

We've done several remodeling projects, both on our current home and the previous one. Buck Buckley and his complete team have been the best, most reliable, professional and skilled team we have ever worked with. Since this was such a large and costly project, they were willing to work with us on the financing, including breaking the project up into 2 phases over 2yrs so it was more affordable for us. They were always there when they said they would be, always worked professionally, cleaned up every day before leaving, and easily adjusted to any changes/issues that either occurred during the project or ones we requested along the way. They repeatedly stated that they wanted us to be happy and would do whatever it took to get there. Bob, the installer/carpenter, was extremely skilled and professional, and would offer suggestions along the way to make things the best they could be, often at a lesser cost but worked out better in the end. The contractors on the team were reliable and professional and also did other little jobs unrelated to this project when we asked them to (at a small additional cost). When we would contact Buck with any questions or concerns, they were addressed either by him or a member of his team within a day. Every member on the team (Buck the contractor, Bob, David the project manager, Danah in marketing, Orin the electrican, Droekamp Heating, I hope I'm not leaving anyone out!) were absolutely fantastic. The finished room is warm, bright, cozy and extremely comfortable. To have no regrets on a project this size speaks well of this team.

I have owned my Chicago North Shore home for 16 years. The water table is high around here, and in that time, my basement has flooded 3 times. Each time I took steps to stop the water seepage and leak source and thought I was done, but didn't quite get it all. The first flood was knee deep, the second flood was ankle deep (hey, we're making progress) and the third time it was just squishy carpets. Having finally found the very last hidden foundation crack and professionally sealing it after the third flood, I was faced with remodeling the entire basement for yet a third, and what I swore would be the last, time ever. I also swore I would never put myself in the position of having to rip out soaking wet smelly heavy carpeting and padding, or any other mold attracting organic material in my basement again. (Big tip here - Never, as in NEVER use drywall in your basement, it's just a mold bomb waiting to go off). I was on a bit of a manic crusade on this 3rd rebuild, and I spent a lot of time researching basement waterproofing systems and technologies so I could do it right. I wanted somebody who shared my water and dampness-hating philosophy and I finally found it when I came across Buck Buckley Total Basement Finishing. They had the waterproofing floor system I wanted, the waterproofing and anti-mold wall system I wanted, and they even had the professional quality air treatment machine to keep it that way. Everything the company offered was exactly in keeping with my goals of this third basement rebuild. Then, my wife intervened, and said as long as were doing it right, could we please add a new basement bathroom that she had been asking for years. It turned out, TBF could do this too, and the total cost for building a brand new bathroom where nothing but naked concrete floor originally stood was very reasonable compared to other contractors. All the work was done on time as promised. All the workers were great, clean-conscious, and friendly. The only downside is their waterproofing wall product generates a LOT of dust as it is shaped and fitted, so extra dust protection is required. The resulting basement is perfect though, and for the first time since owning this house, I no longer worry when it rains. The basement has gone from a place not generally used, to one of the most popular places in the house. Highly recommended, would use them again in a heartbeat, and if you get the boys from Wisconsin they are all "Wisconsin nice" and you feel very good about doing business with them.

The team was fast, friendly and very professional, They came on-time, did the job and left the space clean and neat. The overall quality was great, the craftsmanship flawless and they guys were personable and easy to work with.

We're doing a basement remodeling project that involves putting a floor over an indoor pool, removing a partial wall of concrete bricks, replacing glass block windows and turning the entire area into a livable family recreational space. Per our choice, we're completing the project in two phases. Just completed phase one this summer with phase two scheduled for spring 2015. Buck Buckley and his team (project manager, carpenter, electrician, heating/cooling specialists) have been a very pleasant surprise of remarkable professionals. We had a negative experience with a home remodeling project several years ago and were fearful of embarking on another with the possibility of similar results. But from the very first meeting with Buck, and every interaction with each member of the team, we've been happily surprised that there are still professionals that are punctual, respectful, experienced and very skilled in their areas of expertise. They make every effort to please the customer and go over and above expectations for the work they've completed so far. We can't wait to complete phase two of our project next year with this great team!

The work turned out pretty well! They were able to complete the job in under three weeks. Buck Buckely, the owner, and his subcontractor, Bob, were both very good. Buck supervised a lot of the work. Their subcontractors all worked well together and they cleaned up after the work was completed. We had a tight time frame and they were able to come through and get the job done.

I worked closely with the owner Buck Buckley and the subcontractor David Preece. The price they quoted was the final cost and stuck to budget. Their cleanup was average. They did a great job with the work and we are very happy with the result.

I hired them after seeing them on television. They followed through with things the way that I expected. Their product is good. Jim Redall, the man that represented them, did a great job. He had a background in other basement restoration companies. He was very honest and nice. He helped me to see things that I wouldn’t ordinarily see and I appreciated his honesty.

From our initial meeting with Steve, our sales rep, through regular meetings with Buck Buckley, the owner, and the actual construction project spearheaded by Bob, this project was one of the best home improvement experiences we have had. The people involved from start to finish were extremely professional, and had delightful personalities as well. They were actually fun to work with. Bob and Buck kept us fully informed of each step of the project as it progressed, and fully explained options and costs when some additional work was either necessitated by conditions or requested by us. Some additional mold was discovered during the tear down portion, and both Bob and Buck showed us the hidden damage, gave us options for correcting it, and fully explained what needed to be done, why it needed to be done, and how much it would cost. They also coordinated with our electrician and plumber to make certain that all work was done to code. The project took several weeks to complete, but they kept closely to their original time estimate. We requested that they return to do two additional projects, and those were both timely scheduled and completed. The finished job far exceeded our expectations, and we now have a lower level that we can use with comfort. My wife also loves her laundry facility and no longer feels uncomfortable on laundry day. I fully recommend Buck Buckley and Lakeside Total Basement Finishing to anyone who wants to have a basement or lower level that they can be proud to use.
