+ -1 moreNeedless to say, we were miserable without heat for 2 weeks unnecessarily simply because Stops was intent on selling a new furnace to us. The old furnace ran just fine for years and was not even a consideration when we sold our home in 2006.
Description of Work: We needed the heat exchanger replaced on our furnace. The heat exchanger was still under warranty, but Stops would not handle this for us, claiming that we had to have a new furnace. When I said we could not afford a new one and wanted our furnace repaired, Mike Stops replied, "That's why we have banks." We had no heat for 2 weeks mid-winter and were forced to drive 3 hours into Wisconsin to a dealer who would handle the warrantied replacement for us. Once the other dealer procured the new heat exchanger, Stops then agreed to install, admitting that they have done this for us in the first place.
