Description of Work: We used this company for snow removal, lawn care, landscaping, hedge trimming, weed removal, fertilizing, Spring and Fall clean-up. We always paid on time. I noticed that on occasion they did not show up for snow removal or mowing, because I would be home those days, charge showed up on our bill and I knew they had not been there, and would have been charged for those services unless I called to complain. Sometimes they would not shovel the sidewalks with snow plowing though it was in the contract and had to remind them, though I was paying for it. They guy that did the weeding pulled out a bunch of my perennials. One day I got a letter saying their new business plan sadly indicated that they had to drop a bunch of old customers as they were so busy they could not longer service us, thanking us for our loyalty over the years. I called and asked if it was we complained about being billed for service that were not provided. Secretary said no of course not, would have Bill or Dale call me, of course they never called. So here we are left with no notice, no landscaping company, no explanation. So good luck with your new business plan. Buyer beware, make sure they do what they charge you for. What a nutty business plan to drop old loyal customers who have paid thousands to you yearly because you are "so busy" now. Welcome to 2016 guys, you drop old customers, charge for services not performed and don't call people back, because you are so busy and so important, there is this thing called the internet now. Maybe you ought to treat your customers with some respect. Wish you well in your new business plan.

I've used B&J for several jobs from basic fall clean ups to the installation of large landscape beds with bushes, trees, large rocks, and other plantings. They can do it all... Remove trees, general yard maintenance, large landscape projects, and even winter snow plowing.

 + -1 moreThey're really knowledgeable about trees. It took them awhile to come out, but I really like them, so I wait on them. They treat their customers really well and can answer any questions you have about trees. They're licensed arborists.

 + -1 moreThe quality of the work was very low. The mowing crew arrived at a different time every week and let themselves into my fence and just started weed whacking. They never used a mower. They also let my dogs out while letting themselves in. They then didn't shut the doors behind them either. I called with an issue to be discussed and it took three weeks for my call to be returned and all the while I received no service. How ever I was still billed for those services. At the end of the last season I was told they were no longer servicing customers in my area. I asked for an few names of other options since I had been given so little time to find a replacement. I was still left hanging until the very last moment when I was told they would be servicing the area but there was a price increase.
Description of Work: Mowing and landscaping in the spring, summer, and fall. Snow removal in the winter.

 + -1 moreI thought it was real high and I did not like it. I had a different quote done. I have seen them a lot in the town and stuff like that so I called them. I didn't really know anything about them. They were a little bit late but it wasn't a big deal. He was very friendly and professional.

Description of Work: We made an appointment for a discussion of a job (the removal of several trees) and an estimate. We rearranged our schedule to accommodate it. They never showed up and didn't even call. Over the phone, the next day, they were apologetic and we made another appointment. It happened again -- no show, no call. We are now looking elsewhere for a better experience.

 + 0 moreThey were able to come to the house when we weren't there. We arranged to provide access before the service was performed. The next time we went to the house, the tree was gone, and except for the mulch where the stump was, there was no trace of them having been there. They cleaned up very nicely. They hauled the wood away. It was fast and painless. We are thinking of having some stairs put onto our hill to give us access to our lake. We're probably going to call them!
