+ 0 moreOn a frigid January day, right after New Years, our septic alarm activated. The pump had failed. Knew nothing about who to call, so just called Advanced out of the phone book. Two guys showed up within a few hours, with everything needed to repair the situation. I was impressed. In 20 below weather, they used ropes and respirators, replaced the pump, and were done. Thanks, Advanced. Will be calling them shortly for a pressure tank/water heater install.

We also called him in the evening as our sewer was starting to back up. He suggested a few things we could do in order to save ourselves some money and to see if we could wait until morning. We were able to and he came first thing the following morning. We would definitely use him again and would gladly recommend him to others.
Description of Work: We called Advanced Plumbing late one evening as our sewer was starting to back up. Tree roots in our line caused the back up. He removed the blockage and educated us on how to deal with it in the future (prevention).

+ -1 moreHe called to inform me he was running ahead of schedule. Luckily I was home & available. He came, I had cleared all that I needed out of the way for him. (I used to be part of a service company, the technicians I worked with always said how nice it was when customers had items moved out of the way for them, which makes sense to me. My mother always taught me how time is money & for people in the service industry having things cleared out of their way keeps the cost down they have to charge so help them out!) He got in, took a look at the pipe, said he could fix it & had with him what he needed. We had to shut off the water main to the house & he fixed it. He used a new type of plumbing pipe that hold up much better than copper,etc. He showed it to me and explained it. As always he was courteous, wants you to know what he's doing (no matter whether your female or male, which is refreshing). Just like last time excellent top-notch, courteous, prompt service. Have no plans as long as I live in this area to use any other plumbing co.
Description of Work: Mr. Kellogg had to fix a copper pipe that had somehow decided to break & while showering or bathing it sprayed water inside the cabinet that was stored. I called him due to my previous experience w/o hesitation. He fixed it same day, had everything with him he needed to do the job.

Description of Work: Had a kitchen sink problem missing and broken parts in a Mobile Home, which is a little more challenging. Found out I also had a clog. So Mr. Kellogg replaced all the parts and snaked the drain out.

+ -1 moreWhile working towards finishing my basment, I was in need of finding a plumber. I needed old radiant heat pipes that were hanging below my floor joists moved up into them. This would ensure ensure maximum celling height when installing a surface mount ceiling. Bob came out and was very friendly and was able to show me what would be done if I wanted to continue with the project. After receiving my quote via email within a day, I was ready to commit to the project. Bob called me and setup a time, and we again talked things over to ensure things would be done as described during my quote. The project took one day to complete. When I returned home to inspect the work, I was in shock! Not only was by basement as clean as it was before he arrived, I noticed t hat some of my unnecessary pipes were removed and some new clean-out drains were now installed for my boiler system. This was above and beyond what needed to be done. Overall, I'm very happy. It's hard being a home owner and know who to hire when you need professional plumbing work done. I can now rest assured, that if I ever need something worked on in the future, I have someone to rely on. Thanks Again!
Description of Work: Old copper radiant heat pipes hanging below floor joists were moved into the the joists to provide maximum celing height for a surface mount ceiling. This was accomplished by using some existing pipes, and using new PEX plumbing.

He got us the right parts at a cheaper price than offered at Home Depot and Menards and installed them within minutes. He was very kind and didn't make us feel silly for originally purchasing the wrong parts. He called and showed up when he said he would. We'll definitely rely him for any other plumbing issues in the future.

He was punctual, friendly, and patient with (and understanding of) my barking Lab puppy. Bob went right to work diagnosis and correcting our plumbing problem. He carefully and respectfully explained his process and described to me what the problem was, why it was occurring and how to prevent it from occurring in the future. He is very knowledgable and approachable. I will definitely use Advanced Plumbing Systems, LLC for our future plumbing repairs and remodeling.

Mr. Kellogg obviously knows his business & is honest enough to allow the customer to make the decision, not just doing the work & saying that will be, "$$$$". I've experienced service people like that & I don't like it. I'm a woman but would like to be treated as the customer who called for an estimate & not just handled. Many people don't realize just how many occupations are truly a service industry, so a customer must be prepared to stand their ground. It's not just great service we want but a little respect especially with the economy in it's current state. Unfortunately, some people/companies in the service industry shove the work down the customers throat & don't allow them to decide if they want it, understand what their getting or even understand the cost. Respect goes a long way for me & I see that he is very respectful, honest & has integrity. Something that is lacking in our society anymore (my personal opinion). Many customers or what we truly are consumers (literally) forget that when you call someone for their services you are hiring them & you can chose whether you want to have them do the job or not. That includes lawyers & physicians. If they offer a "free estimate" then they should not charge you, if they don't mention anything about fee's ASK. I'm very happy to have found an honest, hard working plumber who actually cares about his business & the way he treats his potential customers. This is a homeowner/landlord that now has found someone who I feel comfortable calling if any future plumbing issues arise, so I went from "potential customer" to "lifelong customer" because of the service I received today.
Description of Work: As this section says to describe in detail, here are the complete details. Mr. Kellogg is friendly, honest, on time, & gets the job done. I originally called him for an estimate worried that the fix I needed might be very expensive. After taking a look at my problem he said if you'd like I can fix it right now & it shouldn't take too long (already knew his hourly rate thanks to Angie's List). He inspected all the plumbing through out so that he didn't miss something that might be contributing to the problem or miss something he'd be called back for. He also asked a lot of appropriate questions which saves time especially if a homeowner knows where things are & can answer the questions. Hence saving the homeowner money because he doesn't have to wait to find out info & do research for the homeowner. I was able to answer his questions so I saved myself money by being prepared. So I said, "YES", let's get it fixed. He had everything he needed in his vehicle, no running anywhere, etc. Originally my husband had wanted me to have a plumber use a camera to check all our lines, he said he could if I wanted him to but after looking at everything & asking me questions he felt I didn't need to spend the money as then it would make it quite expensive. I had the house re-roofed last fall & unfortunately the roofing company during tear off had allowed some shingle pieces to go down the main vent stack. This had ended up blocking the upstairs bathroom drains, of course it had to be the tub & a toilet. I had already opened up the ceiling to try to find out what was causing the leak once it came through 3 layers of ceiling (old house remodeled several times). When the shingle pieces were found in the main drain stack it was very upsetting to see what had hastened the demise of this drain/vent stack. Over time since the roofing job was completed toilet paper had started to back up due to the shingle pieces. It had finally caused enough damage to seep through the ceiling so that we knew something was wrong in that bathroom. Which had been remodeled in recent years so it wasn't due to neglect, etc. As I never thought of this being caused by the roofers we attempted to fix ourselves. Once we saw that shingle pieces had gotten down there it all made sense. Very sad to see to see the shingle pieces & I personally let the roofing company know that they should cover the stacks with some mesh to protect this from happening to others. As this may have eventually happened but the shingles pieces inside definitely made the problem come to a head sooner rather than later.

He called in the morning of the job to give me an exact time he would arrive and was right on time. He preformed all three tasks in a very short time, but the quality of work and clean up was immaculate. He was very professional and when my wife asked him to show her a small feature on our water heater he was very polite and helped her understand it so she will be able to adjust in the future. I highly recommend Advance Plumbing. Bob is a true professional and a gentleman.
Description of Work: Didn't have any major work done. just three odd jobs that I wouldn't have been able to do myself. A sink to be installed, a pipe to run both hot and cold water and hardware on a shower that I wasn't able to do myself. It took Bob from Advance a few short hours to do quality work.

Everything he did was neat, clean, finished with no loose ends and the client raved about how easy he was to work with. He was chosen time and time again over others in the community and his work was always well spoken of. Nothing beats the good reputation and outstanding results of "word of mouth" referrals. My sincere thanks and compliments to Bob at Advanced Plumbing Systems on his timeliness, professionalism, clean up, over all work ethic and good attitude. Description of Work: Hot and cold washing machine faucet hook ups were corroded and wouldn't turn off. Called and made appointment; he showed up on time with a smile. Got right to it. He took a minute to assess what was involved then he showed me the the hose connected to the washer was bulging as well. (I had been able to get the new Bosh woven hose on the hot water faucet a couple of years ago, but not on the cold one, so it was available for replacement.) My option to Bob was either free the faucets to turn or replace them. Once he had them turning it was obvious the best choice was to replace them; they were pretty bad. He was quick and efficient.

+ -1 moreI called and left a message late on a Friday afternoon. Bob called back on Saturday and talked to me about what I had already tried and agreed that he should come out. I said that we were fine until Monday and we scheduled the time. Bob was early, and kind enough to wait for me. He checked the vent and the workings of the toilet prior to removing it and finding the objects. He also talked me through a DIY sink repair I had been putting off, so I wouldn't have to pay someone else to fix it. From the time he called me to schedule to the time he called to check on how the toilet was running, he was kind and respectful and very professional. I have had bad experiences before, so this was a relief and I will definitely call him again.
Description of Work: My toilet had not flushed for some time. I had tried plunging, snaking and changing the water level. Bob came, after a conversation on the phone, the next business day and found a q-tip and ball point stopping up the toilet.

+ -1 moreOur basement already had a sink and shower and we wanted to add another toilet to the house. We were not sure where it could be plumbed in so we sought advice and were pleased to find out that we could have the toilet installed in the room we wanted it at a reasonable price. My husband wanted to have room behind the toilet so that he could frame a wall adding insulation to the room and this was not a problem whatsoever. It was explained that the job was going to need to be completed over 2 different days so that the concrete could dry. The work was done quickly, cleanly and in a most professional manner. Everything that was in the estimate and part of the job, was completed and we are very pleased with the result.
Description of Work: We needed a toilet to be plumbed into the basement. I made phone contact with the owner Bob. He came over the next day and emailed me the quote of what he was going to do. The explanation was as follows: remove & replace concrete as needed to gain access to existing PVC drain under concrete, connect to existing PVC drain line and run new PVC drain for toilet, Connect to existing cold water line and install new water line for toilet, Provide new Mansfeilld white round bowl toilet & seat and install toilet.
