I called Wisconsin Fuel on Sunday evening January 6th because I noticed my furnace was not running. The lady for the answering service asked me if I wanted an immediate service call which would be around $140 charge plus time and materials. I said no I could weather it out. I was surprised and delighted when I got a phone call a short time later from a technician. We tried a few trouble shooting things. I told him the furnace would engage for about 2 minutes after I turned it off and on. Sometime during the night the furnace started running again. I called Wisconsin Fuel back to tell them I still wanted them to come out but it wasn’t a no heat situation so they could take higher priority calls. The technician came out and gave my furnace a thorough going over but found nothing. The next night I noticed again that my furnace was not running. I called in the morning and another technician came out. He found the problem and explained the manufacturer of my particular furnace was known for this issue. It was water in a pressure switch. He cleared the water and recommended a new part. I asked how much the part was and he told me usually $25 to $100. I told him I would like the part replaced. Later that day I was called by someone from the office and told the part would be $122. I said ok. I was also told that the service call would be a continuation of service from the previous visits and would be in 15 minute increments. I said ok to that too. The technician was there in a few days and charged me for 30 minutes of time even though he was there for 10 minutes. I was told a service call was a minimum of 30 minutes. So, for not diagnosing the problem during the first service call and misrepresenting the cost of the final visit I would have to give them an average rating.

The technician got it working fine. He really knew his stuff.

They started the job and found that the refrigerant line has some blockage and provided an estimate for what it would cost to clear it. Due to the age of our unit, it would make more sense for us to get a new unit, and they recommended the same. They ultimately just charged us for an inspection.

Swimmingly. They have kept my old furnace chugging along beautifully for the past 6 years. They are so fair; they explain all the options; they are thorough and follow-up. They always give me warning about what problems are likely to crop up next. When I first called them for maintenance, I was a brand new homeowner and called them simply because they were the name on the furnace. I've never regretted it.

They have been in business for a long time. I would tell anyone if they are having any problems to give them a call because they are very fair.

Overall things went very well and I am pleased with the work. They are very prompt and professional and they sell and install quality products. The salesman was very nice and very knowledgable, he took time to explain all the fine details and did so without pressuring us to buy. They performed the job the very next day which I appreciated because it was cold outside. I think this is a very good provider and I would recommend them to my friends and family.

The office staff was very friendly. They were able to get me scheduled within three hours of my call. The office called to let me know when the technician would be arriving - which is important for me because I have dogs that I need to get out of the way for service calls. They were actually able to get to my house in only two hours. He diagnosed the problem very quickly. I am sure that they could have tried to replace parts (I have a very old furnace), but instead they were honest. They fixed the problem very quickly (less than 20 minutes total for the entire visit). I could not believe how affordable and fast they were. I don't typically write a lot of reviews but when I get service this good, I feel it is important to let people know that it is a great company.

The condos in my building have baseboard heat supplied by a central water heating furnace. The zone valve for my condo started to fail in the Winter of 2013. By November of 2014 the valve completely failed. I purchased a replacement via Amazon and set up an appointment with Wisconsin Fuel Heating & Cooling later that month to have it installed. Until then, I set the valve to be fully opened to make sure I had heat. On the day of my appointment, the vendor was prompt and friendly. We had to hunch over to go into a crawlspace in the basement of my building to get access to my zone valve. My valve was right up against a cinderblock wall which made things more cramped for us. Taking the original valve off was a breeze for the vendor. Installing the new one took some time since we could not fully get the water to stop. He got it down to a slow drip. I had to lift the feed pipe to the valve a bit in order to keep the water from preventing a water tight seal while he soldered. He finally got the pipe sealed after three attempts and wired everything up. He also suggested that the shut off valve to my unit (along with several others) needed to be updated as someone else had already done for their unit. Since the vendor installed a zone valve I had already purchased, I only paid for labor. The new zone valve works great with the new thermostat and there has been no problems since it was installed. I would definitely use Wisconsin Fuel Heating & Cooling again.

Overall our experience was very positive. They showed up on time, finished earlier than expected and were very professional. They helped my husband load the old furnace into his truck so we could scrap it. I would definitely recommend them.

Overall I think the service went very well. The technician showed up on time and performed the service and answered all of my questions very well. He was very personable and I felt comfortable with him working on my property. I will most likely call this provider first the next time I need HVAC service and would recommend them to my friends and family.

I could not ask for better service. my issue with the blower was kind of urgent and they jumped on it right away. They ordered the part on Monday and it was installed the following day. my point is they understood the urgency of my call. There is no doubt in my mind, I will be using them again for my AC tune up in April or May or any type of HCVA issue in the future. The price was extremely reasonable. In summary, I could not be more please with their service and would recommend them to anyone who needs this type of service.

Had Brian (technician) come out. Very personable and polite, and did a great job. I wanted to upgrade my air filter box on my furnace, in addition to the listed items, but that would have cost about $600 more, and we agreed that my system is already old and nearly out of date, so this investment would be best spent if and when I relace the system. He was able to clean up the existing filter box to make it more functional, for no cost. Really great guy to work with and I am already reviewing other work for this compnay at another home of mine in Kenosha.

Cleaning the air ducts went very smoothly until all of us heard what sounded like a rodent in the vent. Undeterred the fellows went after the alleged intruder to discover it was a piece of plastic and Styrofoam. The air and brush tool made it sound like it was scratching in the duct. Very scary for me but not the least worrisome for the two fellows. All in all my vents are cleaned and I'm a very satisfied customer. I will be using this service again in the future.

For years we used Martin Petersen to service our furnace and air conditioner units. A few years ago they went strictly commercial and recommended their residential customers use Wisconsin Fuel Heating and Cooling. The first incident was on September 26, 2013 when I had Wisconsin Fuel Heating and Cooling service my furnace for the winter. The advertised price was $79.95. I was handed a bill for $102.02.When asked what the extra fees were I was told they changed the thermocoupler. I informed them that before they did any additional work in the future I would need to approve it. I emailed the company and recieved an apology. The second incident is serious and frankly a bit scary. Wisconsin has had a record breaking winter with sub zero temps and record snow falls. On Sunday, March 9,2014 our furnace stopped working at 11:00pm. Monday morning on March 10,2014 I called Wisconsin Fuel Heating and Cooling for help. Two techs came at 1:15. At 1:35 I was informed that the motor was broken and they would need to order the part but someone would be calling me with the details later that day. I had a $25 coupon so the total for the call was $53.81. Around 2:00pm Dennis from Wisconsin Fuel Heating and Cooling called to tell me that the parts I needed would be $200-$300 plus $21 for every 15 minutes of labor. I said ok. However, he wasn't finished. Dennis then told me they didn't have the part in stock and couldn't get it for 2 weeks??? My response was " we cant go two weeks without heat, its winter and predicted to get very cold again". Dennis said" you have a 22year old furnace". I knew at that point what kind of company I was dealing with. If a part is availabe it can be obtained in 24-48 hours from almost any where. For Wisconsin Fuel Heating and Cooling I was either getting a new furnace or my family wasn't having heat in this brutal winter for weeks. I told him I was going to talk with someone. I called a local handy man who gave me the name of an independent heaing and cooling company. The independent company came to my house, diagnosed the problem, ordered the part the next day ,and by Wednesday afternnon, March 12, 2014 our furnace was repaired totaling $238.43. On Thursday, March 13,2014 nearly 72 hours after the phone call telling me they couldn't get the parts needed to repair my 22 year old furnace for a few weeks, I recieved a phone call from Wisconsin Fuel Heating and Cooloing telling me that in fact the parts had arrived? I them I never told them to order the parts. Southeastern Wisconsin listen up. The games that Wisconsin Fuel Heating and Cooling have played with me could easily have been or will be you. Please dont give them any business. I understand companies need to make money but this company would forgo the residents safety for a few dollars.

From the moment I made the phone call to Wisconsin Fuel and Heating at 1:00am I was treated with professional courtesy and outstanding customer service. The phone operator took down all my issues and dispatched the technician on call. Louie arrived at 2:00am to address the leaking hot water pipes in the baseboard heater. He was kind, professional and extremely thorough. He made every effort to restore the heat at this "wee - early morning" hour! However, the water needed to be shut off and the busted pipes repaired the following day. Louie returned (later that same day at a "reasonable" hour) with additional technicians to replace the broken hot water pipes to the heating system. They did an outstanding job completing the repairs thoroughly and leaving the room very cleaned up after their extensive repair work. Given the difficulty of addressing a heating problem in the middle of the night, Wisconsin Fuel and Heating provided outstanding customer service.

The technician arrived quickly was very courteous. He had 30 years experience. Wisconsin fuel and heating has installed the furnace in my house so the technician made sure he had all possible parts with him. He diagnosed the problem and had the furnace running with in a half hour.

The technician arrived on time, very polite and professional ..very careful when he is moving his equipment into our house, explained everything in detail. ,

From start to finish , this company is an A +++. My request for a service call was issued within a few hours. Politeness, professionalism and customer service are obviously important to this company's mission. I will continue to call on them for any future needs and continue to highly recommend them . Outstanding integrity .

They also educated me on how to turn on a gas heater in my entertainment room. Very professional, informative and fair. Highly recommended...
