Measurements were taken and got an estimate a few days later.

A couple days later the estimate arrived by email. I liked the promptness but the written estimate provided us indicated an installed price of approximately $1,200/window or approximately double what I was expecting based from my visit to the store. Also provided was a Jeld-Wen vinyl window price of approximately $600 installed should I want to go more "economical". No storm door estimate was provided. Overall, nice guys so I'll give them an overall fair grade, but I was naturally disappointed in the price guesstimating/estimating so I can't grade any higher. I will check with some other contractors before making a decision.

When we were looking for carpet we went to several stores and decided to use Lowes. When we were deciding which color we wanted Lowes had to order some samples. I called several times to find out where they were, only to find out the person that was to order the samples forgot to order them (a week later). Eventually we received the samples. I called to see what days our salesperson would be working to place our order. I had a few more questions and tried to contact him several times. I left messages for him each time with no response. I called for at least 3 weeks before I asked to speak to a manager. He could not find paperwork for our carpet order, and told us to come in and he would take care of the order. My husband and I went to Lowes and they had found the paperwork for our order. We asked questions and looked at one other carpet style then placed our order. As we were waiting to pay, the gentleman informed us that our original salesperson had been in the hospital for several weeks. I told him were never informed and no one else even asked to help us with our order. I told the gentleman about this and he said “I’m sorry”, that was it. When I asked why someone didn’t tell us about this, as I had been calling and leaving messages, his response was “I am not sure why they didn’t call you”. There was no offer to expedite our order, or even a small compensation for their huge mistake and our inconvenience. I was the one having to jump thru hoops and do most of the work to get it. I thought that was what the retailers were the ones to go out of their way to make sure the customer is happy with their order. Not true in this situation. After about 8 weeks we had a call to ask us to change our appointment for installation until the following Friday. We agreed and finally had our carpet installed. I am pleased with the carpet. It looks very nice. But, it was a lot of work on my end.

The Lowe's team members were very helpful and professional, from the ordering process to the installation. I had them install windows a few years ago and did not hesitate to purchase through them again. I will call them again in the spring to replace the remainder of my windows. I am very satisfied!

The folks in the store were very helpful in helping us pick out the carpet. The installation went really well. They did extra that I asked them to do. Very good carpeting. They got the lines straight like they should be.
