inside and out design

The project was broken into two parts. Front yard and back yard. Mary created a design and it was okay but installation and price was terrible. Once the actual plants were purchased they were much more expensive than the initial estimate. Mary talked me into a bunch of transplants and that too cost more than I thought. In the days following the installation, I found several bushes and plants that were not installed properly. I did my best to fix things myself and followed Mary’s watering instructions. This spring about 75% of the transplants were dead and several of the new plans. I suspect the landscapers cut away too much of the root system with the transplants and didn’t dig the holes deep enough or wide enough. In the backyard I took Mary’s design to a local nursery and purchase the plants myself. I had my own landscaper do the installation. Total cost was about 1/3rd of what Mary would have charged and everything survived the winter.
