He did a great job. he came out right away, gave me a quote, made some suggestions and he started the project when he said he would and finished it a couple of days. It was clear that he takes pride of his work. He even follow through and gave us advise on how to take care of the floors. The price was reasonable.

The work started and finished as promised. The owner and Associates were professional and trustworthy. I felt no discomfort leaving them alone to work on my floor. They were meticulous with the sanding and finishing. Great job I hope to enjoy my floor for years to come.

While we actually hired another contractor, I found Paul to be extremely knowledgeable, prompt in his bid on our project and ready to commit to a realistic timeline. I praised Paul for his professionalism and would definitely reccommend you at least get a quote from him. Checking other contractors in the Kenosha area, his price was spot on! No surprise, no games. Paul was our main choice after getting quotes from several others. From the first consult, he was clearly the "wood whisperer" while he immediately started examining the floors, calling out small details we missed, and excitedly discussing ways to make them beautiful again. We discovered maple, oak and pine stairs and landings. We had no idea how to proceed and decided to stain the maple and pine stairs a dark sort of cherry color. They were beautiful!! I left the oak landings, hallway, and bedroom natural and am pretty happy with that. Hindsight, I would have put a bit of stain on the oak but not the dark color on the stairs. The Czars do great work and always come when they say and call you back very quick.

It went very well. The service was very professional and was done in the timeframe that was agreed to with the owner. We received a number of follow up calls after the work was completed to confirm that we were happy. It was a pleasure to deal with the Czar wood floor company and we could totally trust their service.

Paul Czar was a true professional from the 1st call to estimate refinishing my wood floors to the completion of the job. He and his crew always kept in contact to let me know where they stood on the job and we met to discuss any things Paul felt would improve the job.

Throughout the process, Paul and his team, were professional, conscientious, through, with attention to detail. They explained the process and made suggestions as they went along. We had made several changes that required additional work and weaving in floor boards. The areas blended seamlessly with the remainder of the floor. Professionalism: Throughout the process from the estimate, destruction, install and finishing, Paul, Dale and Gene were great; they even. They were friendly, professional and considerate of our needs and timelines. They explained every step of the process and answered all questions promptly. Paul provided care and maintenance instructions to ensure that the floors would stay beautiful for years to come. Cleanliness: Our job was started in early November and the weather was horrible; rain, snow and cold for the entire time. They were careful to protect the flooring in our entry way and protected the clothing in our closets from the dust. At the end of each day and at the end of the job, the work area was cleanand equipment was stored out of the way to allow us to access the bathrooms. Quality: The quality of their work is excellent. The floors look great and I can't wait to see the rooms with the baseboards and furniture in place. We had wood floors installed on the main floor of the house several years ago and we had to leave the house for 2 days when the floors were being sealed due to the toxic odor. We were happy to find that the ordor was minimal and were were able to stay in the house. Price: We had several estimates prior to choosing Czar and the price was reasonable and competitive. Another company's price was less but they were going to install wood over press board which was not recommended by Czar. Based on our interaction with Paul and the reviews on Angie's list, we were confident in his knowledge and experience and the choice was easy. Going the extra mile: Paul called our attention to a problem with the wood floors on the first floor of our house and provided advice to help correct the problem. Paul, Dale and Gene were also great with our dog! We were in a bind when Home Depot's flooring service totally messed up our flooring installation and product--with our move date and many other factors hanging in the lurch. Paul Czar was the most responsive contractor in the Milwaukee area. Even though he was very busy (as everyone was at that time), he returned or picked up every call, was willing to problem solve and brainstorm solutions with us and ultimately help solve our "flooring crisis!" Thanks!!

It went very well, the floors look great. Paul was very helpful throughout the process as well, walking us through the various steps and making sure we understood the decisions we were making (e.g. with regard to staining versus natural looking wood, and finish sheens). We are very happy with the end result. It took about a week to complete, and Paul was always very communicative and worked with us on timing.

Paul Czar is without question one of the best contractors I have had the opportunity to work with. His rates were extremely reasonable but it is not just about price. Paul and his team are absolute perfectionists and when you are talking about a floor that you are going to be looking at for the next 15-20 years, that is exactly what you want. Paul and his team were always on time, extremely professional, and above all, very courteous and knowledgeable. Neither my wife nor I are experts on flooring and he took the time to walk us through every step of what he was doing, answer any questions we had, and went the extra mile where ever he could to make sure that we were happy and stayed happy. When the time comes for us to refinish existing hardwood in our house or add new, without question, Paul and his team will be the only call we make. Czar was great to work with, were willing to work with us on price and also were able to fit us into their schedule much faster than many other companies we had talked to. Listened to what we wanted and went above and beyond even helping to figure out a minor electrical issue we had noticed. Would recommend in the future as our floors look great!

This work was done over a period of 3 days. They were diligent in sticking with the job and showing up when they said they would. They assisted with some of the heavy furniture moving, even though that was not part of the quote. The owner was sick, but worked anyway to get the job done. He even had his brother come from northern WI to help so that the job could be completed on time. All workers were polite and respectful.
