Allen Comstock and his crew did an aweful job on my roof.
The yard was strewn with debris from the roof and plastic wrappings , for which I picked up.
The gutters were damaged beyond repair from shoveling the weight of the roofing material on them. Never cleaned out the gutters , full of granules from the roofing.
Allen is not aware of the industry standard on flashing chimney's....and actually asked me to show him as he doesn't own a computer nor have internet access.
He regularly uses silicone caulk to seal penetrations through the roofing material , silicone is not designed for these applications. The rows of shingles are not uniform and straight as a roof should be , as such the bonding between shingles is compromised and thus a warranty is invalid.
Approximately 20% of the shingles he installed are a 20 year shingle , not the lifetime I paid for and was promised.
I had the roof inspected afterwards as I suspected there was a problem or two. Not to the magnitude I was made aware of.
Allen Comstock said he wasn't going to pay to fix his mistakes at first , then agreed to a partial refund. From the point on he never answered my phone calls . I then found out his business address is his parents , not his own house as he puts off. His parents refuse to give out Allen's location.
I've asked for his insurance carrier so I could submit a claim for the damage he did to my home...no return call from him and mother refuses to give out anything.
I've even looked through every address on Wisconsin Circuit Court Access for his lengthy criminal history , including a recent Battery case as listed if looking him up on the Kenosha County Jail , Inmates.
This is already costing me more than it would have been to use the most expensive bid! Save yourself the trouble and don't use him!

..Job went very smoothly. They came on time when they said they would be there. Job went as planned and as estimated with no hidden charges. I was also please with the quality of all the worked performed. He has a well mannered group of guys working with him.
