Description of Work: I would highly recommend Brian Vanderloop and GE contracting. GE Contracting installed new garage roof and vinyl siding and siding,fascia, soffits,and interior and exterior doors on the house.Their work was excellent despite dealing with the weather each day. They arrived early each day and did a nice clean-up at the end of each work day. Brian's crew was friendly,hard working, and had an attention to detail. I certainly hire GE Contracting again. As a matter of fact,a window replacement for next spring is already planned.Comparing other estimates,GE Contracting stood head and shoulders above the rest.We have received many compliments from neighbors and friends regarding the great work GE Contracting did for us. + 0 moreIt went fantastic!!!. It took 4 days to complete. Brian and his team are hard working and knowledgeable and new exactly what needed to be done.. As individuals, they all were very respectful and courteous. My neighbors have deliberately stopped to tell me the great job that GE Contractors have done and how nice it all looks. My immediate neighbor has contracted them for work on his home. And they don't leave anything laying around. They clean up after themselves each day. Their price was definitely in line (in fact, somewhat less).

+ 2 moreOne of only a few contractors that actually took time to quote out and contact me with a realistic quote. Time line was well communicated and honored. Easy to get a hold of afterhours for questions. Was ok with and handled some of my scopecreep that occured. Over all I though Brian had a very resonable and acceptable price for all the work that was performed. I am happy with what was done and I would indeed hire GE again.

Description of Work: They originally came to bid on my siding replacement, however I was so impressed with them that when I needed my roof replaced I contacted them. I am in Idaho and the home is in Wisconsin so needed someone I felt could trust. They kept in continual contact, kept to the bid and sent pictures when it was done. Will definitely be using them for the siding when I can afford it.

+ -1 moreThey were fine. They did a fine job. I didn't have any problems with them. They got back to me right away. Their price was way better. When I called them I was able to e-mail. So if I ever had a concern I just e-mailed it. And he got back to me within a very short time. I would say the person that is the sales person for them was very good. He was very good with customer service. The customer service and the fact that if you say it's too much they work with you to get it into the price range. They were very good about it. Sometimes I had some concerns like there was a long space in between, but I realize they were just very busy before I could get my stuff wrapped, but overall I would say they were pretty good.

+ 0 moreThe man came out and checked the roof for us. He didn’t find much that needed to be done. There was something around our skylights that had to fix due to a leak and he took care of that right there. He told me that he knew that it didn’t take the full 2 hours; and said that he would be available for the next 6 months to come out to fix anything else if we needed it and he would not charge us for it. He also gave us an opinion of how much longer our roof has to go until we would be needing a new one. He was very pleasant and did his work quickly. The day that he called, he was here within an hour and half. I wished Angie’s List would let me give him an A+.

+ -1 moreHe came out and I will have to have him come back out at a later date. He tried to repair my ceiling that was leaking. He said that as long as he was here he would try to work with the ceiling around the leak and he did not charge me anything for it. I was happy that he did not charge me and he did do what he could with the time that he was here. He did tell me what it would cost to have him come back.

+ -1 moreIt went good. He came out right away to kind of give me an estimate and then came back a couple of weeks later. It’s still leaking a little bit but it doesn’t surprise me. It’s just the architectural of the roof is not quite right. They said if it continue to leak, they’ll make good on it. I believe him. He’s a good guy.

They also put some nails in siding pieces that hadn't fallen off, to make sure they wouldn't fall off in the future. I was very happy with their work!

+ -1 moreUPDATE - As of 11/1/2012 the company has taken care of the concerns we had with the gutter covers and end-caps so that none of the birds in the area can nest in our gutters. Company also took care of the $'s we paid to have locks rekeyed when we needed access to the house after a high amperage generator for their tools knocked out our power. Appreciate them taking care of our concerns. As of 10/2013, company came and did a 1 year review of the work completed. Should have been done in June/July, was done a couple months late due to their work load. We actually called them about it as we had a couple of questions about the peak vent installation. Company checked it out, didn't say anything was wrong.
Description of Work: GE Contracting came out and inspected the roof of our home, provided and estimate, removed the old shingles then worked on replacing the roof with new shingles and finally the gutter covers. They started work the day they said they would, just about 4 hours late. Rather than a 4 day job, it was closer to 10 days. Some of the delay was weather related and other delays were due to too few workers on site, and a power outage due to using too high amperage tools plugged in. See update below.
