NRB PLASTERING

We experienced significant challenges with Nick (NRB) in terms of communication, billing and quality of work. Specifically: - Nick did not answer any phone calls from us prior to, during or after the engagement. This made meeting prior to the start of the work to discuss options impossible. He was also several weeks late to start, complicating other areas of the build. He concluded the work and left without any communication, removing our ability to discuss concerns. - Nick provided an initial quote of $10k through our contractor. However, we received a bill for $15k. Our calls to Nick were not returned to discuss the increase. The contractor was eventually able to reach Nick and he fixed the bill, stating extra materials were incorrectly entered in his billing application. - The EIFS application has noticeable bleed-through of the base layer, making the garage’s exterior look half finished. Our calls, as well as the contractor’s efforts to have Nick take responsibility for the problem, have not been successful. We contacted the manufacturer of the coating for options and they suggested the issue was likely due to an "improper method of installation". They recommended priming and painting the entire building with a different product of theirs to hide the bleed-through. The general contractor relayed this information to Nick, whose response was that they “we're not painters”. We subsequently requested that NRB cover the cost of the new coating material and we would re-coat the entire garage ourselves. This request has also gone unanswered.
