Cleaning Concept started out being very good however over time the professionalism of the cleaners that came to the house decreased and so did the service. Reduced some of the chores however still did not help with getting this completed. It appearred that the cleaners did not like some of the things I requested however the items I requested like dusting the furniture and vaccuming under the chairs and couches was not unreasonable to me.
Description of Work: Cleaning Concept came in to the my home bi-weekly to complete the major cleaning. The everyday dusting and vacuumning I could do but I wanted someone to come in and do the heavy cleaning. Dusting, vacuuming, dusting wall boards, door jams, furniture pillows, bathrooms...etc.

When this client informed me that she wasn't happy with some aspects of the cleaning I offered to come do the cleaning myself rather than my employees. She was happy and grateful to make the change. I want my customers to be happy and will do what I can to make it happen. It took me a couple weeks to rearrange my other jobs to find a time and day that would work for both of us. I was looking forward to cleaning for her, we seemed to get along well and I thought it would be a good fit. I received an email from Angie's list that I had a new review. When I read it I was surprised. She never called to cancel services, this review is how I found out.

I have had a wonderful experience with Cleaning Concepts. Karen Lorenz is very responsive to concerns and very helpful. I've been using Cleaning Concepts for over a year, and my house looks amazing after they have cleaned. I would definitely recommend Cleaning Concepts to friends!!

Initially the work done was great they even vacuumed the furniture at times. However over the 9months that we used them the jobs started to get sloppy. Instead of sweeping and mopping, they just vacuumed and then mopped. The floor was never really cleaned. The windows were never cleaned. At times the bathrooms were still dirty and needed to be cleaned again. The house was cleaned by a mother/daughter team, which was fine. Except when 1 couldn't be there, the other didn't come as well. I had it scheduled to have them come ever other week. I did need to cancel 3 times as I wasn't going to be home. After the last time, I spoke with the employer and she made several comments that were unprofessional and should not be said to customers. While the price was affordable, the work was mediocre at best. I would not use this service again.
Description of Work: I had requested for all bathrooms be cleaned, floors swept and mopped, house dusted, and a set of windows be cleaned on each visit.

When I met with Member to do the initial estimate I explained to her that her town was out of our service range. But because she and her mother who lived next door also wanted service we could give it a try. We seemed to get along well, we talked for about an hour and I really enjoyed our meeting. Her cleaning charge was actually $65, not $70. Things went well for awhile but after a few months Member starting canceling at the last minute. The last time we were to clean, her mother called to verify that we were still coming, even though Member had cancelled again. I told her Member hadn't told me to cancel and let her mother know that it was quite a drive to clean just one home, but that we would of course come anyway as we always had in the past when Member skipped. A few minutes later her mother called again cancelling all services and hung up on me. I never spoke to Member at all that day. I don't know why she said I was rude and said things that were unprofessional since I never talked to her. I never even had a chance to reply to her mother because she hung up on me after discontinuing service. Her mother was always so pleasant and easy to get along with. She told me that my employees had always done extra projects that she asked for, including cleaning up after some remodeling, etc. It was really just an unfortunate end... I have been in business for over 20 years and have never experienced this situation. Most cleaning companys have contracts and policies against last minute cancellations. Her mother didn't know that I had previously asked Member if possible to give more notice so I could schedule other jobs in that time slot. So my employees could have work on their schedule. We clean over 200 homes and I have never had anyone comment that I am rude, that is definitely not my nature.

They do a great job and really make my life easier. The value they provide for the money is great, too and makes it seem like less of a splurge.
Description of Work: Karen and Ivette cleaned the whole house, vacuuming hardwood and carpets, cleaning bathrooms, mopping vinyl and hardwood, cleaning countertops, sinks, stove and microwave. They do a great job and are worth every penny.

Karen is a saint and I don't know what I would do without her. She is always doing extra things for me. She even puts up with all the dog hair. Karen takes the dogs for walks and just about anything else I ask of her. If I need her to come for a non scheduled visit she will do her best to fit you in.
Description of Work: Karen Lorenz comes every other week and cleans bathrooms, vacuums and helps in other areas when needed. The cost is $20 hour and I have 5 bedrooms and 2 bathroom.
