Found a few nails from the removal laying around

We had whittled the choices down to Manthei roofing and another company. They were both very prompt at returning calls and answering questions. We ended up going with Manthei because of one thing, experience. Just by the way Mr. Manthei talked, I could tell he was a straight up roofing guy. The other contractor would have done whatever we asked, but Manthei told us what we needed. The price quoted for the work was right in the middle and I feel it was a fair price for work done. They arrived when they said they would on both days. They completed the work when they said they would, down to the hour! And, as far as workmanship goes, everything looks fantastic! Everything is cut and trimmed to fit, unlike the roof before it, which had shingles hanging off everywhere. I must also point out that they are a hand-nailing company, which mattered to me. I know every shingle was placed and nailed with care. All of their work is guaranteed for 5 years against leaking and the materials they use are top notch. Our shingles have a 50 year transferable warranty! My wife was present for most of the project while I was at work, and she said they acted professionally and cared about what they were doing. I was present for the last hour and a half or so, and I agree. They cleaned up after themselves and when they were gone, you would have never known they were there. I met both Mr. Manthei and Mr. Payne, and they are very personable guys. I had a great experience with this company and would highly recommend them.

Called to request assesment of existing roof which was 15 years old and showing signs of wear and algae growth. Response to phone message came the same day and appointment was made for the following day.
Mr Manthei was on time, provided a very understandable explaination of the existing condition of the roof and options available. As this home now has power vented furnace and water heater, the existing brick and mortar chimney was no longer functional. Thus, we decided to make the chimney removal part of this project. The proposal was delivered and explained the following day. Samples of shingles were left for our analysis along with local addresses where we could view existing installations. We considered the estimate reasonable, defined our shingle selection, and signed the proposal. Mr. Manthei said the work could be completed in a day and could be scheduled in a couple weeks, depending on the weather.
Ten days later on a Wed, we were asked if it was ok to complete the work on Fri, with the crew starting at 7:30. At 7:30, they were on site, completed all the work proposed, cleaned the area and were done by 3:30.
This is the third experience with this roofer. They are very professional, prompt, efficient, courteous, and I would not have onyone else do a roof on my home.
