concrete driveways
+ -1 moreThe driveway extension has been in for about 17 months. One edge along the street sidewalk has heaved up slightly. Their cleanup after removing the forms was pretty minimal. I had a lot of flash I had to cleanup. But that topic was never discussed during the bidding process.
Description of Work: Added a 3' to 4' concrete extension to the left side of my driveway. The drive way slopes slightly towards the road. Also poured a 3' by 4' half circle pad to be used for a mailbox mount in front of house along the street. Removed surface material and placed forms in on 1st day. Poured on 2nd day The written quote was pretty marginal. Providing only minimal information of the work to be performed. On 1st day, When I came home to see the forms, they had already left for the day. They had used an old beat up 20' x 2x10 board along the outer edge of the form. The board had several cracks going completely through it, running along it's length. I called the Owner Chad Combs but only got vmail (After 5pm) Left message asking that, that form board be replaced and not be used. But that never got done. When they poured the next day. that form board bowed out and under along that boards edge. Consequently that outer edge is not a very straight edge. The mailbox pad turned out fairly well, But it as well kind of bows under along the circular edge. Overall I give Landmark a B- to C+ on the project. You get what you pay for. And the price certainly wasn't bad.
