BILL'S ELECTRIC INC

I'm going to try to look for someone else. He is really good but very expensive. He is like on the top on price and he hasn't gotten any better. I've used him a bunch of times.

Bill and his workers were very thorough and knowledgeable on local codes and safety. I had received bids and although Bill?s was mid-priced, the recommendations I received from others put him at the top. The work performed was done on multiple apartment units that I knew had safety issues before my purchase. Bare wires and lights that went on and off by themselves that were tolerated by the previous owner just didn?t seem right to me. Bill?s first task was to identify multiple shorts, which unaddressed would have ruined every appliance throughout the building. He located the problem just outside the building with the utility line and since it was a safety concern, Alliant Energy showed up quickly with 3 trucks and multiple workers to dig up the underground line. I was sweating bullets until I was told that since it was Alliant?s property at fault I would not be charged. While many contractors have come out and told me they prefer newer structures and that I should contact someone else to do the work, Bill?s did not shy away and was quick to respond to the various issues and updates needed for this property. I also got the impression that Bill will not tolerate cutting corners to save a buck. He addresses safety concerns seriously. On one of his estimates the work performed took much longer anticipated, but Bill did not charge and refused to accept anything more than his original quote. The last tasks I had Bill address were done on a time and material basis. I still received an estimate, but without a committed limit. I requested this, only because I trust his work and know there are many obstacles when dealing with older properties.
