We looked at Angie's List to select companies for this service. We selected a few that seemed reasonable; however, One Hour had such glowing reviews and they were the only ones on our list to offer a free estimate. The salesman arrived, explained everything and was not high-pressure. We were extremely pleased with all the work done and highly recommend this company!

Overall, we have been very happy with their services. They are very responsive and punctual.

"Nick" was the technician, he was helpful and informative from when he arrived to when he left (and it was 90 degrees out / 90% humidity) he examined the A/C and furnace unit and quickly went about diagnosing and correcting the problem, pointing out things for me to be aware of and pay attention to in the future. I was pleased with this service.

The work turned out very nice, the people were very nice. They worked with us one the price.

Great experience. Our technician, Breeze, is very courteous, on time, and thorough. Always explains what was done and offers solutions for any problems he finds. We plan to renew our Club membership.

Their service has been excellent. We have a yearly contract with them and we pay about $20 a month and the check our air-conditioning and heating unit twice a year. The last time we used them, we did not have to pay anything because we bought new heating and air-conditioning equipment and it was covered. They cleaned and inspected the unit to make sure everything was alright. It is a good company to deal with and I had trouble with one of the detectors and I called them and they told me what I needed to do and it worked. We were always very pleased with them. They don?t get the house dirty and are very courteous and nice staff we have contacted. We highly recommend them.

We have a one year contract with them for service. I enjoy that they call me and schedule maintenance checks. It brings me a level of comfort that they are maintaining and concerned with this. When I had one problem, they came out and took care of the issue and got it working again. They do not up sell me with unnessary service or try to take advantage of a situation.

It was all completed in one day, including cleaning all the ducts. everything was left very clean and in order.

Without taking anything apart (other than removing the front panel), the tech diagnosed that we had a leak in the boiler block, told me that it could not be repaired and that I'd need a whole new boiler system. The heating system, which was not installed by this company, is less than 10 years old, but the tech didn't recommend that I research warranty options (in fact he gave the impression that I was unlikely to have success with that route and just said "we don't deal with this brand I have no idea even how we'd get parts...."). The heating system I have, a Buderus, is one of the top of the line brands in the industry, so I've been told by other plumbers and by the home inspector we used when we purchased the house. The One Hour Heating service tech simply wanted to sell me a new boiler, for which he quoted me $6,500. While he was still at my house I did some research on the brand and called a wholesaler for Buderus to see what my warranty options were. I learned quickly that the internal boiler unit was under warranty and that the manufacturer was willing to replace it. The One Hour tech was either not allowed or not interested in giving me a quote for the labor to install the replacement boiler block, he left me with just a quote to completely replace the system with a totally new system from one of the manufacturers they use. The Buderus wholesaler sent someone over to my house the next day to verify the damage and confirm the warranty. This guy took the system apart and told me that there was NOT any leaking, and in fact that there was nothing wrong with my system. The "leaking" that the One Hour tech had identified (and tried to use as reason to sell me a new $6500 system) was simply normal condensation that anyone who knows anything about heating systems should have been able to diagnose. The good news is that I didn't need a new heating system or any repairs at all. I will never EVER use One Hour Heating again. I feel that they were being totally dishonest with me and that they were irresponsibly diagnosing a major problem with little to no actual diagnostic work just as an excuse to sell me an expensive new system.

It took all day, at least 8 hours. I thought it went rather smoothly for a winter time project.

They are very clean. I have no complaints.

Ronald, our technician was very knowledgeable and thorough. He wore covers over his shoes the keep the carpet clean and went so far as to clamp down loose drain tubes and vacuum the work area. We have used One Hour in the past and I have never been disappointed in the level of service we receive.

Pulled this name from the list. A technician arrived within a few days of our phone call to review the work. He was right on time and highly professional (actually slipped on cloth booties when coming in the house. Never seen that before.) The technician reviewed the work in great detail and took plenty of notes and measurements. We received a verbal quote within the same day, but it was quite high compared to what I expected. My feeling was that this type of work may have been a bit excessive for them. They seemed (to me) to be more geared to furnace service contracts and preventative maintenance plans.

I sat through a lengthy ''canned'' presentation similar to one that some insurance companies do. They offered NO product specifics, and they never answered any of my specific questions. I never received a written proposal from them. They seemed to offer ''tiers of service'' more than specific products, and their prices were higher than any other dealers I contacted. I'm still not sure what I'd be getting for my money! Response to Mr. Holland, 6.16.2014: Contrary to your feeling that my posting was not "legitimate," Angie's List encourages members to comment on all of their interactions with vendors, regardless of whether the vendor was awarded the business or not. Most members are interested in knowing if vendors return calls, produce estimates promised, etc., or if contacting them may simply be a waste of time. I politely sat through the presentation, waiting for the information I sought, which I never received; many people would like to avoid that, and the description of my experience may allow them to do so. (They also have the freedom to schedule a presentation from you, if they so choose.) I have confidence in my fellow members that, with the information provided, they discern the extent of the contact and that the rating applies only to that, not to the quality of work the company might perform. I, too, am sorry I did not see your response and re-post sooner.

I HAVE USED THIS COMPANY TWICE NOW AND THEY ARE EXCEPTIONAL. THE SERVICE PEOPLE ARE PROMPT, SKILLED AND KNOWLEDGEABLE. THE FOLLOWUP IS GREAT. I CAN'T IMAGINE USING ANOTHER COMPANY FOR HEATING OR A/C.

SINCE WE HAVE A MAINTENANCE CONTRACT WITH ONE HOUR HEATING, THEY ARE VERY PROMPT WITH THEIR SERVICE CALLS. WE ARE VERY PLEASED WITH THEIR SERVICE. THEY EXAMINE THE PROBLEM, EXPLAINED WHAT IS WRONG AND GET YOUR APPROVAL BEFORE MAKING ANY REPAIRS. THEY PROVIDE YOU WITH DIFFERENT OPTIONS AND ALSO DISCUSS PREVENTATIVE MAINTENANCE OPTIONS. VERY PROFESSIONAL.

HOLLAND DID A REALLY OUTSTANDING, PROFESSIONAL JOB ALL AROUND. THE SALESMAN (NICK KERN) IS THE ONLY ONE OF FOUR ESTIMATES I GOT WHO ACTUALLY MEASURED THE HOUSE TO ACCURATELY SIZE THE UNIT - HE THEN PROPOSED AN AMANA UNIT, WHICH WAS RANKED MOST EFFICIENT BY A WELL RESPECTED INDEPENDENT ORGANIZATION - AND IT HAS A 10 YEAR PARTS AND LABOR WARRANTY. THE INSTALLATION TECHNICIANS ARRIVED WHEN THEY SAID THEY WOULD, DID A VERY CAREFUL AND COMPLETE INSTALLATION, AND CLEANED UP EVERYTHING VERY THOROUGHLY. OVERALL, I COULDNT ASK FOR BETTER EQUIPMENT OR FINER CUSTOMER SERVICE.

THEY WERE A GOOD COMPANY. THE OWNER CAME OUT PERSONALLY & ASSESSED THE PROBLEM. I NEVER HAD A PROBLEM WITH THEM & THEY DID HAVE TO COMEBACK TWICE. THEY EVEN DO CRIMINAL BACKGROUND CHECKS ON ALL THEIR WORKERS. THEYRE ALWAYS ON THE CUTTING EDGE OF WHATS NEW!
