The individuals arrived over an hour late but seemed very nice throughout that initial meeting, walking around the home and discussing planned projects. The initial verbal assessment was a bit eyebrow-raising - $50,000+/- to eventually replace siding/brick along the front of the house. That was the first alarm bell. The second was that he didn't seem all that interested in the exterior of the home (which was what we clearly said was our initial focus) with the second individual repeatedly asking if we were planning on finishing the basement anytime soon. Once replying that the basement was secondary to correcting some urgent concerns on the exterior they seemed to lose interest. After leaving I exchanged several emails with the company looking to set up a timetable and official estimates for the front steps and exterior work - the gist of the response was that they really weren't interested in the job and I received the distinct impression that they weren't taking me seriously because I was female. Our suspicions were confirmed when my husband contacted the company independently and received a MUCH more timely, professional response. Needless to say we don't recommend this company and wouldn't let them within 10 feet of our home.

Craig had an uphill battle because many builders have left me feeling as if they didn't understand or they weren't capable. Craig knows his business and I was quite impressed. He explained the issues with the windows, doors and more. He talked about the order things should progress and the solutions I needed. He is lining me up with a person to draw up the plans for the changes and additions and then we'll tackle the fixes, remodeling and exterior. While I have no numbers from him as of this time, I can tell you that the price for drawing up everything is about 80% less than others. It is certainly the first time that I feel confident I will have a well built home done right! i will consult with him forever and have him do the work if he wants it too. They are very professional and communicating. Right after working with another provider and having a bad experience with them, I felt very comfortable having True North Remodeling in my home and that counts a lot. They did an excellent work. We will definitely hire them again.
