I discovered this company through Angie's List and its the first time it's failed me. I contacted them for a quote to run 5 wire from the furnace to the thermostat so I could install a NEST WiFi thermostat (approx $250). The technician came on the date and time he said he would be there. My wife was at home while I was at work. The technician proceeded to do $150.00 worth of work I didn't ask for. All I wanted was a quote for the wire. He told my wife that it would be very difficult to run new wire because it was probably tacked to the studs during construction, which is what I expected. My wife called me at work and I spoke with the technician. I told him again what I was looking to do and also told him we would be willing to move the thermostat to a wall directly over the furnace, in fact we would prefer that. He said that would be difficult because he would have to drill through the floor inside the wall and only the owner had that drill bit. He completed the work and left. He was courteous and left the house clean. A few days later I received a quote for an $800 thermostat system that I was told would be perfect for me because it could use the existing wiring.

It went very well. I had four different contractors quote the business. Although Rand S was not the lowest bid, their quote was reasonably close to the lowest bidder, and I was impressed with the knowledge and follow-up of their representive so I went with them. The installation went well. Installer knew what he was doing, was very neat and through. Representative followed through and filled out rebate and warrenty forms for me to send off.
Description of Work: Replacement of a 22 year old natural gas furnace with a higher efficiency unit.
