We were looking for the smallest fireplace we could get. We hired them because they were only one of two dealers in the area for the particular brand of fireplace we wanted. The product is very nice but the workmanship of the installation was very unprofessional. I completely redid the installation of the combustion air intake. The exterior cover was not screwed to the siding. The attachment of the intake hose to the vent and fireplace looked like a five year old did it and leaked vast amounts of cold air into the house. They cut a hole in our newly insulated, foamed in place insulation to be specific, exterior wall for the vent and did not foam around the vent pile as they should have. I also had to get them back to install extra support for the chimney, per the manufacturers installation specs. After that I still went ahead and did some rework. I did not consider plumbers strapping adequate support for the chimney pipe in the attic. For some reason they did not understand that I was reluctant to give them final payment until the inspection was passed.
