Stay as far away from this company as you can. He calls himself a professional but his work is far from professional. Contracted him to pour a 24' x60' concrete slab on grade. After he cancelled the pour three times I postponed it until I was able to back in town to be there. He claims he did not get my message and poured when he thought I was out of town. When I showed up at the jobsite his guys were very surprised that I was there. They used a power screed to screed the concrete and a power trowel to finish it. The slab has several area's where the concrete is much higher than the area around it. None of the edges were troweled with an edger and none of the anchor bolts were trowel leaving large clumps of concrete around them that had to be ground down in order for the bottom plate to sit level. An absolute horrible job.

Sure Foundations originally resurfaced my garage apron with a 3 year warranty. This didn't last 6 months and it started having problems. Original warranty was that if the resurfacing did not hold up, Sure Foundations would tear out and replace the apron for an additional $2500. Owner of Sure Foundations came back at me stating that he needed an additional $500 because I originally gave him incorrect dimensions that were smaller than actual. I did not say anything to this and agreed to pay the extra $500 but his original quote was (or should have been) based on HIS measurements, not mine. I gave him an approximate size over the phone and it's his job to come, measure correctly and price the job accordingly. This is what was done originally and it is my opinion that he was losing money over the warranty so he tried a desperate ploy to get more money from me. As stated, I did not say anything because I wanted to work with him and figured that if I agreed to the additional cost, he would feel better and do a good job. After digging up the old apron, he should have put down more base gravel but didn't. End result is that less than three months after he cut expansion seams in the apron, one section of slab has shifted and opened up to where it is now a 1/2 inch gap. Over time, this will only get worse and I will have to have the work done all over again. I will never contract with Sure Foundations ever again and can not see recommending him to anyone - unless I dislike that person.

I had some peeling that grew over the winter and contacted Sure Foundations asking that they address this issue. They told me that once the winter weather allowed, they would come out and fix my problems. They came out after our last snowfall, patched the areas of concern and put another sealer on the entire apron. At this point, I like the end result and will update this review (at a later date) as to how well things hold up.

Owner showed up to do the estimate. Provided written estimate of $2250.00 that included slab and a layer of block but I did not originally ask about sealing and waterproofing. Once excavating was completed and they showed up he made it clear one layer of block was not enough. It was plain to see that two more layers at the rear was necessary. I also brought up waterproofing so he gave me a price of $675 for the extra block and waterproofing. Sealing was $100. Once everything was completed the sheets of waterproofing fell. The owner sent a buy back a couple days later to fix the problem. The guy wasn't able to completely fix the problem and had to come back again. So they were very persistent in coming back until the problem was fixed correctly. If I was going to do it all again I would insist that a special adhesive be applied to the block to help the tar stick better. That would have prevented the problem from the start. But, they did a fine job at a fair price.
