We hired this company to remove to the joists, make flat and install a new kitchen floor. Mr. Canapa aka. Stoneworks Tile and Home Remodeling llc, left us with a kitchen floor that was incomplete, left permanent marker around all pipes, a number of the floor tiles were never secured to anything or together, the floor not flat, and squeaks and bowing issues we didn't have with our former floor. Often, Mr. Canapa would state he was "stumped" and ask us how we recommended him to do things, for instance, deal with our radiators or how to get the flooring under the cabinets since he "didn't have the right tool". Mr. Canapa arrived late each day, left often for the store for more tools and left early everyday. He arrived on site without the tools needed to perform the job and used our tools, often without asking. He also used some of our tools that weren't appropriate for the job, like our hand staple gun. After Mr. Canapa left, we found that our staple guns and all of our staples are missing, along with a hammer, 2 box cutters and 2 measuring tapes and we haven't taken a complete inventory yet to see if anything else is missing. He had also helped himself to our medicine cabinet using tape and bandaids after bleeding on the floor, toilet and towel and not cleaning it up. Along with this, Mr. Canapa was extremely caustic towards his employee. He continually swore at him, screamed at him and called him slurs that have been long deemed offensive, inappropriate and down right unaccepted in society. I found myself flabbergasted that he would not only communicate with an employee in this fashion but was brazen enough to do it while we were present. We strongly advise that you avoid this individual and his company at all costs.
