It didn't go. he kept my $5000 and never did the job and I had to report it to the police for contractor fraud and file a lawsuit

Creative, genuinely enthusiastic about MY project, hardworking, honest, polite, professional, well equipped, well maintained and operated machinery. Rich Hitchcock came out to my home, and bid my 250 foot long, 5 foot tall retaining wall after meeting him at one of the Home Improvement Shows. Looking at all his past completed projects, it was obvious he had the EXPERIENCE and EQUIPMENT to tackle my job. I have always used only Angies List contractors in the past, but I was so impressed with Rich’s ideas for MY project, that I decided to take a chance. Best thing I did in a long time,….and yes I did maybe get lucky. After numerous bid changes on my part, and additions I desired on my part, we came to a very competitive price. During the whole bid process, the prices changes were all very logical, and as I added and subtracted things I could see how honest all his pricing was. No shell game was played. When his crew started, it was the two week period last summer when it was 100 degrees. I took off work the first week because of the size and importance of the job for me. I have never seen a crew of 7 guys work so hard, for so long each day. Rich is extremely respectful to his workers, and is in the thick of the action all day long. If any of us worked as hard as he and his crew do, we would be dead. My wall went up on a busy avenue, during the school year, across the street from TWO schools. The crew delivered materials, ran (2) hydraulic backhoes, a skid loader, unloaded semi’s with block, loaded and unloaded dump trucks and directed traffic flawlessly. No accidents, no damage to anything. The principal at the school was so impressed with the building process, he brought out the students to watch. On about the third time they came out to observe, Rich actually worked with the one of the teachers and explained the entire process. I was able to make additional revisions to my wall plan as it proceeded and Rich took them in stride without missing a beat. His drive to create the absolute best outcome for your project, on your budget was something I was not used to getting. As the wall started to take shape, and others in the neighborhood watched, they began to ask for bids. When my next door neighbor did, Rich just ran and integrated his job right after mine and thrilled us both. In conclusion, I have to say my entire process with Hitchcock Building Services was as good as I’m ever going to have it. Why not hire him and have the same experience?

They were very easy to work with. The staff was very hard working. The work was of good quality.

We met them at a home show. They came out and gave some good design ideas. They stuck to the price that they quoted. They did everything on time and were professional. They did a nice job. We had a little bit of an issue with the wall one winter; they came back almost a year later and adjusted it. They were good to work with.

They did an excellent job. They were on time and they kept us informed. They cleaned up all their mess. They went above and beyond in their work. We have recommended them to others. Our patio looks great.

Rich and his crew showed up right on time the first day but of course it was raining!! It continued to rain for about three days, but his crew worked on what they could. Rich had stated that things would get messy, which they really did! Our place was a huge mess for two weeks but each night his crew would clean everything up the best they could and would put up a temporary fence so that our dogs could get outside and play, this went a long way towards impressing us. We hadn't asked him to do this, but rather they took charge and made sure the dogs could get out and we really appreciated it. It was just one of the many little touches Hitchcock added. Rich was not here the entire time of the project but his crew was always hard working and very respectful. Of course we had concerns that would come up from time to time or things would seem to go slower than we hoped but Rich always said. "Please trust me, if you don't like it when we are done, I will change it for you." We trusted him and he was right. Everything is beautiful. We were also glad that they were done when they promised they would be, even having to contend with mother nature. This was an expensive project and we knew it was a huge undertaking, it was not without it's stumbling points, but anything that came up Rich quickly explained or addressed and took care of. We are also convinced that Rich and his crew threw in a lot of little touches that we would not have gotten from a huge company, that personal touch went a long way. It took a while for the job to take shape but once it did it was fun to see there progress each day. Once they delivered the mulch and started getting it placed we knew it was almost done! It took a full three weeks to complete the project, with a few odds and ends to be wrapped up after words. The last of the mulch wasn't even shoveled into place and we were having our first party! We continue to get compliments and people can't even believe it is the same back yard. We not only have our retaining wall out front but a fantastic patio and BBQ area that is the envy of all our neighbors!
