On the morning of the service date we noticed that the house was cool. I checked the thermostat and found it was on 68 although set on 72. The furnace was running continuously but not able to catch up because it wasn't putting out much heat. I checked for HVAC companies on Angies List and noticed Dave Droegcamp was rated an A. I cross checked them on BBB and they gave them an A+. So I called and the techs arrived in about 2 hours. At first they saw that my burners were barely lit and thought that the heat exchanger was bad. But then they checked the gas pressure and found that the gas valve was hardly letting any gas through. They changed it and the furnace was fine after that. The techs were knowledgable and friendly and didn't mind answering my many questions. I'm very satisfied and certainly will call them again if I have any more furnace problems.

The furnace went out the morning after Thangsgiving, of course. In Wisconsin, the onset of cold weather, Deer Hunting and Black Friday Sales all occur on the same day making service a real problem. I had no prior relationship with Droegkamp, though I was aware of them due to advertising. They were the 3rd company I tried. They answered my call and set an appointment time. The service technician called in advance of his arrival and actually got here almost two hours ahead of the appointment. How's that for getting off on the right foot? The service technician, Mike, was professional, personable and more importantly very qualified. He had the problem diagnosed and corrected within 45 minutes. Mike was on site for just under an hour. When I called to schedule the appointment, I was concerned about cost. They explained their service charge and hourly rate. Confirmed that regular rates were in effect and were very straight up. I had no buyers remorse at all. They made no attempt to juice the sale at all. We discussed a couple of options and some pro's and con's and that was it. Good folks and a great interaction. They have impressed me and I highly recommend giving them a call.

The whole experience was a good one overall. They gave me multiple options to select from with different pricing for each option for the ductwork. The installers were helpful and explained what they were doing in detail, as I was curious to why they they put cold air returns in certain locations and ran ducts in each space. I would definitely use the services again and highly recommend Droegkamp to anyone looking at doing any remodeling. They even did some additional work for me, moving a cold air return in the living room for no additional cost.

Service tech was professional, knowledgeable. He took the time to go through what needed to be done before proceeding. I feel that the pricing was fair.

Everything went well. He is always prompt and doesn't try to sell unnecessary items or services.

Overall our experience with the project was very postive. Though we were informed beforehand, it was hard to realize how much of a mess the yard would become. This fact was explained beforehand and grading was in the budget. System sees to work very well and so far we have no reservations. It is too early to see if we will actually save 40% or so on our heating cost (as estimated). Make sure if you go with geotherm technology, you interact with Dan Firkus, who is very knowledegable and professional.

I was able to schedule a quotation visit within days of calling. The quotation visit was very informative. Pete made me feel comfortable and answered all my questions. He gave me options to choose from to fit my needs. I received the formal quotation within 2 days of the visit. I was then able to schedule the installation within a couple weeks. The two men that installed the new furnace were very polite and professional. They were on time and finished in about 6 hours. It was a very smooth process.The installers were very thorough with cleaning up.

We had been discussing geothermal heating and cooling, and trying to get "off the grid." I heard a radio ad for Dave Droegkamp's geothermal furnace installation, so I gave them a call. Peter McFadzen called me back, and he came to the house to see exactly what we were looking for, and take measurements, etc., so he could quote the cost. He got back to us with not only the cost of a geothermal system, but two different furnaces as well. He included a detailed analysis of the costs, our savings, and the estimated time it would take to recoup our expense. Unfortunately for us, the time to recoup the geothermal expense was just too long based on our current ages. Had we been younger, there would have been no question. We chose one of the other options, and just had our existing furnace replaced. They showed up as scheduled, completed the job efficiently, and left the area clean.

They are very knowledgeable. We feel comfortable with him. He always does a good job for us. We are confident in his work.

I don't think it could have gone better! Since we still had plenty of oil to use up it was important to us that we had a company that was willing to work with us so that the transition from oil to gas went smoothly and without us running out of oil. Dave Droegkamp Co. (the representative that we worked with was Peter McFadzen) said they usually have the furnace we wanted in stock and that they would need about a week's notice. It took us until mid December to use up most of that oil and when we got to below 1/4 of a tank, I called them. They didn't have the furnace in stock, but they sent an employee to Lennox to pick one up that very day. They gave us a date and time within one week of our call and when they came to replace the furnace. We had just under an 1/8 of a tank (approximately 2-3 days worth of oil - it was very cold and the furnace was running). The 2 employees they sent to install the furnace were professional, polite, and knowledgeable. It took the better part of a day to complete the install and remove the old furnace and haul it off. They contracted with another company to remove the existing oil tank and haul it off. The oil tank was removed about 2 weeks after the furnace was installed, which was fine with us. Peter McFadzen was excellent to work with. He was very responsive and helpful both during the initial meeting we had with him and in working with us to give us a smooth transition. I would definitely recommend this company and I would definitely recommend working with Peter. Everything quoted was on time and as promised. There were no surprises.

Very thorough. Found the very difficult reason why one of our rooms was not being properly ventilated.

We can say that the main guy we met from this company was quite funny. He had a real good sense of humor. He really explained the answers to all of our questions. We felt comfortable that this company did the work. We were told that this company was very reputable in the area. We have had no problems with the systems they installed. We had paid one total bill to the main builder.

I received excellent service from them. They were nice people. My unit came with a warranty in case something would happen. It works excellent and my home stays nice and cool all summer long. I would recommend them to others.

My husband actually dealt with most of this work but I personally feel that they did a great job. We did have some electrical issues but I think that was more with the company that they had hired to do that end of the job. I feel that this company is very satisfactory in their work and anyone would be happy with their services.

We did receive a follow up phone call from this company. They had sent someone out to explain how everything worked. They were very friendly and polite. We have had no problems with our new system. We paid one full bill to the main contractor.

In the past, Dave installed another gas furnace and a central air system. I have always been very happy and satisfied with the people and the installation. They have always been nice people, very informative, and very reasonable. For this particular job, they were here when they said they would be and they took as long as they said they would take. Their financing was also very reasonable.

The service repairman seemed to be knowledgeable, he seemed to test and check a lot of the furnace components. But, in the end he had the furnace running but said that no problem could be found at this time. In March the furnace failed again, so we called a different contractor.

The a/c wasn't working because mice had built houses in the units. They were quick to fix the issue, and also block the hole so other mice in the future would not build their home in our a/c units. They also conduct the annual checks on our units. It is nice since we bought the house that they have the history of the house and what has been done.
