4-D Water Well and Pump Service LLC

Description of Work: I called Dave in relation to a well problem where we had tried to do the repair ourselves. Dave called and told us immediately would stop by and take a look and callback with a price and find a day if I hired him that we could do it. He called later that day and explained in detail what he would need to do. I went to two other providers who had charged me and offered no reasonable knowledge or pricing. I got two previous prices of $4900 & $6000! Dave said he could knock the job down immediately and for a mere $2100! I told him he was hired and could do the work as soon as possible. Being a single mom that works he was very understanding and agreed to payment with a good downpayment mentioned which I immediately offered. He told me they could do it the next morning! He and his colleague Luke arrived about 15 minutes early and immediately got to work. They complimented our self done work in trying to repair the problem ourselves and explained that even if we got our leak fixed it would have kept giving us problems elsewhere. It made sense. He explained that the company I had hired previously had seriously cut some corners and the pitless adapter unit I had was old and not installed deep enough or correctly. Furthermore he and Luke explained to me that the lateral pipe to the home and other work the other people I had paid $7000 just 7 years before had not replaced the lateral to the house or the pumps wiring either. They went down and observed the work and brought in the crane truck and excavator. They pulled up and secured my well pump, also noting that the previous company should have put the well a couple of feet deeper. Dave and Luke were very friendly and helpful, easy to ask questions and friendly but extremely professional and worked the entire time during my observation and conversation with them. Great guys! Cause I had a LOT of questions! When they pulled up the pump and secured it they went to the pitless adapter unit to pull it off, they showed me what was wrong, it was NEVER EVER WELDED IN PLACE LIKE IT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE, this is a HUGE problem as it exposed my well to dirt and contaminants. This was due to the previous company's shoddy and now discovered dangerous cutting of corners. Dave informed me that he would take a sample and also chlorinated the well just in case, due to the unsecured nature of this broken pitless adapter unit. I was absolutely shocked when Luke jumped down and pulled it off with his hands! Proving that there was never any of the crucial welding done. Definitely proof the past work I had done was done wrong and seemingly maliciously incorrectly installed. Luke removed this piece while I followed Dave to the basement to go over what we needed to have done inside. Dave showed me that my electrical wiring was also never replaced, the lateral line to the home had not been replaced and my pressure tank was never installed or set up correctly. He informed me had we gotten the leak fixed outside that the pressure from the incoming water would have flooded my basement because of the incomplete and incorrectly installed pressure tank. I went back outside with him and watched as Luke took the excavator and dug extremely gently and accurately from the house to the well and even asked if cutting back branches from an over hanging tree! Super nice and polite too! I watched as Luke, after he removed the adapter, welded a patch over the old hole in the casing properly and safely! He and Dave recommended that I have the new pitless installed 2 feet deeper, they said that would insure the freeze line NEVER touches it again! Luke cut the new hole and installed the new adapter plus ran a brand spanking new flex pipe lateral to the house! This was while Dave went downstairs and ran new electric wire out and the new lateral in and also managed to fix and correct the problem with my pressure tank! The two also did a spectacular job cementing my basement wall too! They finished up quickly but managed to explain that they redid all the wiring to my well pump and dropped it down two extra feet as well, this is because I have a VERY very deep well and the water level would always remain far enough below the pump to not suck air and damage it. Dave and Luke were punctual, prompt, quick but with and attention to detail that I have never found with anyone else. Dave and Luke were extremely busy with the job but very friendly and explained to me that they would chlorinated the well after taking a sample for my safety. Dave explained what I was to do, run the water till crystal clear after waiting for the chlorine to clean the water. I would HIGHLY recommend Dave and Luke and they are a extremely kind, understanding and friendly but highly professional team! Truly honest and very reasonable. These guys are top notch and efficient!

Description of Work: They replaced part of our exterior pipe out to our well. It was on a sunny Saturday and they did it that day (otherwise, we would've had to stay at a hotel with our kids since we had no water).
